Asghar Afghan picks the cheque and trophy himself and joins his team-mates. All smiles as the Afghanistan players pose for the photographs. Afghanistan collect 30 vital WCSL points with this clean-sweep. Ireland, on the other hand, weren't as bad as the scoreline suggests but they couldn't win key moments throughout the series. Well, that's it for today. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, goodbye..

Asghar Afghan | Afghanistan captain: This game was very important. Every point is important to qualify for the World Cup. Very happy today. We didn't bat well, but we came back well, especially Rashid and Naib, They gave us a good total.

Andrew Balbirnie | Ireland captain: He (Stirling) has played superbly in the last couple of games, we are out of words to describe how well he's playing. No one could really back him up. Potentially could have won the game day before yesterday and today. We needed someone to stick with him and get that 50 or 60. It didn't happen, hasn't happened this week. We have to go and work. There's a lot of cricket coming up. We have to be better

Paul Stirling | Player of the Series: Big points were up for grabs this series, not quite where we wanted to be. We were in good positions, couldn't fight it out. He's (Roy Torrens) an absolute hero for me, he was a huge hero in Irish cricket. A lot of people are missing him.

Rashid Khan | Player of the Match: Man of the Match after a long time, maybe after more than 15 games. Quite pleased with the effort. I was trying to bowl as many dot balls as possible. I bowled wicket-to-wicket and kept it tight. To do well in the batting department, I have been working a lot. I need to have the belief in whatever position I come. I need to have that mentality that I can go there and believe in my skills. Hopefully, in the upcoming games, I get a promotion. I want to dedicate this award to my late mom and dad. My mom was more of my batting fan.

18:33 Local Time, 14:33 GMT, 20:03 IST: Afghanistan 3 -- 0 Ireland. Chasing a par score, Ireland were in the hunt as long as Paul Stirling was at the crease. The Irish opener notched up his second successive ton, but no other Ireland batsman supported him. As many as four middle-order players got starts, but none of them managed to convert it into a decent score. When Mujeeb nipped out Stirling in the 37th over, the asking rate was still under 6 RPO. But, the Afghanistan bowlers offered no freebies and wrapped up the match with 17 balls to go. Rashid Khan, who top-scored for Afghanistan with a 40-ball 48 earlier in the day, shone with the ball too as he claimed a four-fer. Another Man of the Match award for the magician? We'll find that out shortly..

Naveen-ul-Haq to Andy McBrine, out Lbw!! Andy McBrine has been adjudged lbw and he has opted for the review. Good length ball slanted in from round the wicket, McBrine wanted to play it across the line and failed to put bat on ball. Beats the inside edge and the left-hander gets rapped on the front leg adjacent to middle. Ball-tracking shows it to be hitting leg. The on-field call stays and Ireland have been bowled out. Afghanistan win by 36 runs. Andy McBrine lbw b Naveen-ul-Haq 16(24)

Rashid Khan to Young, out Bowled!! How many batsmen has he bamboozled with his googlies? Too good for the No. 10. Spins in from a length and Young gets forward to block. He actually picked the wrong 'un but the ball spins in past the inside edge to crash into the stumps. Fourth wicket for Rashid Khan. Young b Rashid Khan 0(1)

Rashid Khan to Young, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Rashid Khan to Simi Singh, out Simi Singh Run Out!! 1 run completed. In the air and put down! Simi Singh comes down the track and swings his bat hard, ends up splicing it in the air off the leading edge.. The extra cover fielder - Naib - back-pedals and misjudges and eventually fails to even get his hand to it. And there's more drama. Nabi, the backing-up fielder, collects the ball and flings it at the striker's end. Simi is definitely short of his ground. The only question is if Gurbaz collected the ball cleanly and broke the sticks. Yes, he has and Simi Singh has to go. Simi Singh run out (Nabi/Gurbaz) 20(29) [4s-1]

Rashid Khan to Simi Singh, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!
