That's the end of this tour which had all the formats. Ireland won the one-off Test but Afghanistan came back win both the white-ball series. And Rashid Khan is back as well. On that note we sign off from here. Do join us for more cricket on a daily basis. Till then eat your vitamins and pop your pills. And remember to sleep well and cuddle nicely. Bye for now.
Rashid Khan is given the trophy and he collects it and then the team gets together to pose for the cameras. All smiles they are.
Rashid Khan | Player of the Series and Afghanistan captain: So happy to be on the winning side. It was tough for me to come back after 3-4 months. It was a fresh start for me. The youngsters absorbed the pressure and delivered. The senior players Nabi, Azmat and Naveen performed. So happy for them. Cricket is all about the enjoyment, the more you enjoy, the better the performance. Go there and express your talent and skills. The youngsters like Sediqullah, Ishaq, Ahmadzai and Nangyal came and performed. The more they get the opportunity, the better they will become. [on World Cup preparations] Has been great so far. We have planned that from the last one-and-a-half years since I have become captain. The preparation has been great and all the homework has been done. Just two months more and we need to cover the areas where we are struggling and we need to go there mentally and physically both prepared.
Paul Stirling | Ireland captain: We were slightly off our pace tonight. Beaten by the better side. Really proud of our boys though over the series. A couple of magical performances with the ball. Ben White one of them. It shows how good a knock that was from Zadran. He was in and he made us pay in the death overs. That's the stuff we got to work on before we reach the USA. We are getting to that stage, where we are picking our best side. We will continue to back them and then assess from there. [on the Test win] That is something special, we love coming here to the UAE and playing Afghanistan. We look forward to the next series.
Ibrahim Zadran | Player of the Match: I'm really happy with my performance today. I did not play well in the last two games but I contributed today. Ireland played good in the first game of the series, then we came back stronger to win the 2nd and 3rd games. It's quite tough to play all three formats but I'm trying to adjust myself as soon as I can. I try to enjoy myself. We don't have any series before the World Cup. We will try to get prepared for that and try to think where we should improve.
Naveen-ul-Haq: Coming into the series, I was feeling well, but the first game didn't go my way but as soon as the second game started I told my coach that I will be back to my best and today as well. Glad to have picked up a win tonight. I have been playing a lot of T20 cricket and it is a good preparation ahead of the T20 World Cup and also IPL is one of the best league in the world and almost 7-8 players from our team are in that league and it will be nice to have that experience. I really liked the second wicket (Tucker), because I had a chat with skipper Rashid Khan before that and we actually planned for that dismissal.
23:26 Local Time, 19:26 GMT, 00:56 IST: It's the seamers who have fashioned Afghanistan's series win tonight. After being 0-1 down, they come back to win the series 2-1. The three seamers shared 8 wickets amongst themselves and this is a thumping win. Wickets at regular intervals dented Ireland and no-one showed the inclination to stay for long. Campher and Delany swung their bats and got cameos. Apart from that nothing major and it was an easy defence of the score. Naveen-ul-Haq set the platform with early strikes, then Omarzai followed it up. The allrounder took 4 and Naveen-ul-Haq came back to clean it all up. All smiles in the Afghanistan camp. Chasing 156, Ireland needed a solid start from the openers but Naveen took care in just the 2nd over. From then it was an uphill task for Ireland. Stay tuned for the presentation...
