Two matches into the tournament and we have witnessed two one-sided games. Let's hope the trend changes. We'll be back tomorrow for the Group B clash between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Should be a good contest. Until then, it's goodbye from Abhinand Raghavendran, Sagar Chawla, Varun Dixit, Rishi Roy, Raju Peethala and our scorer Sulthan. Take care.
Usman Khan, Man of the Match: Thanks to God and my parents. Obviously, when I came to bowl in the first spell, I tried to pick wickets with the new ball, but luck was not with me. Second spell, I got the ball to reverse swing and I managed to take wickets. It's alright. I was bleeding from my feet but all is fine right now and I am fit. I just slipped a little bit so I thought it would be safe to get it checked. I'm happy with the bowling and I managed to bowl like I wanted to. It's fun to bowl with competition, some healthy competition amongst the bowlers, and we play our cricket from session to session and give our best at all times.
Sarfraz Ahmed, Pakistan skipper: As a captain, I saw couple of things which we should work on. We should have finished this match with 9 or 10 wickets and we need to bowl better with the new ball. New ball didn't swing for us and that is alarming for us. We will work on it in our next practice session. To win against India, we have to be at our best in all the three departments.
Anshuman Rath, Hong Kong skipper: There were a lot of soft dismissals and 120 is not good enough. Credit to the Pakistani bowlers ,but i think there were a lot of soft dismissals. Spinners were top class, but we didn't score enough to give them support. Great to go out there and great to face them. At the end of the day we wanted to put up a fight and today we just didn't try. Early on, it did swing a big and there was bounce too. We did get to a start, but we didn't convert it in the middle overs. Not a good enough total.
STAT: First time Imam won't be converting a 50+ score to a three-figure score. He has 4 hundreds to date in ODIs.
Chasing a below-par score, Pakistan's openers got them off to a decent start. The introduction of spin saw Fakhar Zaman lose his wicket. Hong Kong should have had Imam-ul-Haq twice, but the umpires denied that on both occasions. Babar Azam came in at three and played some glorious shots and in the process completed 2000 ODI runs before playing one shot too many. It was just a formality and Shoaib Malik and Imam-ul-Haq took their team past the winning line with ease. Time for presentations.
20:56 Local Time, 16:56 GMT, 22:26 IST: In these hot conditions, Pakistan hardly broke a sweat as they start off their campaign with a comprehensive win. They were excellent in all three departments of the game. It all started with a weird run-out - courtesy a Shadab Khan direct hit. There was just one substantial partnership in the Hong Kong innings - a half-century stand between Kinchit Shah and Aizaz Khan. Usman Khan came back in his second spell and scalped three wickets to bundle out Hong Kong for 116.
Aizaz Khan to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, Shoaib Malik finishes it off in style. A boundary to sign off the match. A short of length delivery just outside off, Malik trekked back and walloped it over mid-wicket for a boundary. That's it. Pakistan win by 8 wickets, with 158 balls to spare!
Aizaz Khan to Imam-ul-Haq, 1 run, fifty for Imam-ul-Haq! He converted four of his previous ODI half-tons into centuries. However, he has to settle with a half-century today. Gets there by tucking a short of length delivery to deep square leg
Aizaz Khan to Imam-ul-Haq, no run, fuller and wide outside off, Imam-ul-Haq taps it towards backward point and starts off for a run, gets rightly sent back by Shoaib Malik
Aizaz Khan to Shoaib Malik, 1 run, back of a length delivery just outside off, dropped to the left of backward point
Aizaz Khan [3.0-0-13-0] is back into the attack
False start for Aizaz Khan.

Ehsan Khan to Imam-ul-Haq, FOUR, glorious shot! Imam-ul-Haq comes down the track against this in-drifter, gets to the pitch of the ball and neatly lifts it over mid-on for a one-bounce four. Imam-ul-Haq on 49 now!
Ehsan Khan to Imam-ul-Haq, no run, too full, kept out with a solid forward block
Ehsan Khan to Shoaib Malik, 1 run, fired on off and middle, turned to mid-wicket
Ehsan Khan to Shoaib Malik, no run, quick offie, Malik gets an inside edge onto his pad as he looks to clip it away
Ehsan Khan to Shoaib Malik, wide, darted down leg, wasted delivery
Ehsan Khan to Imam-ul-Haq, 3 runs, angling down leg, Imam-ul-Haq gets inside the line and glances it fine of the man at backward square leg. The fielder gives the chase and hunts it down to save a run
Ehsan Khan to Shoaib Malik, 1 run, worked in the dorection of the spin. A single to deep mid-wicket
