With two wins in two games, Afghanistan and India have progressed to the Super Fours. Two more spots are up for grabs and we have two must-win encounters lined up. Join us tomorrow for the mouth-watering clash between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. For now, it's goodbye from all of us down here.

Suryakumar Yadav | Player of the Match: Some of them (shots) are predetermined, this format is all about what you think and how you prepare before you go out to bat. At the same time, you got to be staying in the present as well. I felt the wicket was a bit slow. My plan was clear. My role was to go in and take the tempo up and just express myself, I just loved it. (Adapting to different positions) you got to be flexible, you should be equipped to bat at any number and I have opened as well. I have batted at all number. I really enjoyed it.

Rohit Sharma | India captain: We batted pretty well to start with, got to a very good score. Came out and bowled reasonably well, we could have done slightly better with the ball. (SKY) The kind of innings he played today, the words will be short. We have seen that with him every now and then. He comes up with suck kinds of knocks. He just comes out and bats fearlessly which is what the team expects from him. Some of the shots he played today, those are not written anywhere in the book. It was very pleasing to watch. Shot selection was also crucial. We know he can play all around the park. We have also informed the group about this (flexibility in the batting order) as well. Most of the guys are ready to take the opportunity and be ready to bat wherever required. That's the flexibility we need. We'll take those chances. We are going to try and use the right match-ups.

Nizakat Khan | Hong Kong captain: The way we started with the ball, until 13th over we were amazing. Our fielding was amazing as well. But we slipped after that. The way Suryakumar batted, it was good to watch. It (Asia Cup) was a good opportunity for all the boys. We were away for a long time, credit goes to boys and I am really proud of them. We are gonna sit down tomorrow, we'll have a look at our death bowling. We will improve.

Stat: First time in 14 night T20Is in Dubai, a team has successfully defended a target.
The previous instance came in the semifinal World Cup Qualifiers semifinal in Nov 2019 when PNG successfully defended 130 against Namibia.

Babar Hayat: I think that knock (of mine) was much needed. We were chasing around 200 so we needed a good powerplay. I was just playing my shots and it was coming off the middle. I think apart from our bowling, everything was good. So plenty of positives to take from this game. The wicket was a bit tricky and the Indian bowlers are really experienced, they bowled really well.

21:26 Local Time, 17:26 GMT, 22:56 IST: A comprehensive win for the defending champions! Inserted to bat, India didn't get off to a flier as KL Rahul struggled for timing and the run rate was mostly around 7 RPO till the 13th over. But the arrival of Suryakumar Yadav turned the tables. The swashbuckling batter wasted little time to get off the blocks and hit boundaries for fun as he made 68 off just 26 balls. His partnership with Kohli - 98* off 45 - powered India to 192. In reply, Hong Kong lost Yasim Murtaza early but Babar Hayat ensured that his team had a good powerplay (51/2). Captain Nizakat Khan got out off a free-hit with Jadeja scoring a direct hit and the scoring rate dipped significantly post that. The Indian spinners hardly offered any freebies in the middle overs and finished with combined bowling figures of 8-0-33-1. Zeeshan Ali and McKechnie hit a flurry of boundaries towards the end to reduce the margin of defeat. Rohit isn't too pleased - probably because Avesh and Arshdeep were expensive today - their combined figures 8-0-97-2. Stay tuned for the presentations...
