12:24 Local Time, 04:24 GMT, 09:54 IST: That's a win for India as they beat Nepal by 23 runs and advance to the semis of this competition. Earlier in the day, India elected to bat first after winning the toss and Yashasvi Jaiswal was simply outstanding in the powerplay. He attacked the bowlers right from the word go, and although Gaikwad looked rusty, it was Jaiswal's innings that helped India set the foundation in the first half of the innings. The southpaw also notched up a fantastic century in the process and Rinku Singh gave the finishing touch with his knock of 37*(15), powering India to a total of 200-plus. In reply, the Nepal openers gave them a steady start, but they couldn't make an impact in the powerplay. Kushal Malla, Dipendra Singh Airee and Sundeep Jora chipped in with handy cameos for, but they were never going to be enough to be honest. The boundaries were pretty short too, hence the batters from both the teams managed to hit so many sixes throughout the game. Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi picked three wickets each, while Sai Kishore had a good enough debut as he picked a wicket, was economical and he also took three catches. That's all from our side folks. We'll be back later today with our live coverage of the World Cup warm-up games..
