Right then, Pakistan's winning streak of 8 T20Is came to a grinding halt. The Aussies were ruthless today and have got the ball rolling in this Tri-series. Time to conclude the proceedings for today from here. Until next time, its a goodbye from all of us. See ya!
Finch, Australian captain: We played really well, the tone that our bowlers set after winning the toss was fantastic. We have come here to win, we have been training well. Nice to have a polished performance to start here. He (Stanlake) did an outstanding job. Jhye, who didn't play much in UK bounced back today. The quicks bowled really aggressive, I hung onto a couple and it was nice. At times, we are chasing a reasonable small total, one or two overs can break the game. When you chasing at 4 or 5 runs an over, it becomes easy.
Sarfraz Ahmed, Pakistan captain: The total is important here. If you lose too many wickets early, You can't survive in the match. Credit goes to them, he (Stanlake) got pace, especially the first four overs and he found bounce as well. Time to work hard, hopefully we will come back well next game.
Billy Stanlake, Man of the Match: We had a pretty disappointing tour of UK, it was challenging and to get out here and perform was nice. My role is to be aggressive upfront and try to take wickets with the new ball. Hopefully, I can keep doing my best. With the early wickets, Finch just kept me going and got into a good rhythm. It was nice to get off to a great start. He took some beautiful catches (Finch).
12:34 Local Time: Smiles in the Aussie camp, it has been a long time coming for them after a tough tour to the UK where they endured a whitewash. Handshakes follow as well, joined by the Pakistan team. Defending a target of 117, they needed wickets upfront to put Aussies under pressure, but that didn't happen. Finch was in overdrive mode from the start, blazed away in no time by compiling a quickfire fifty and wrapped it up in a clinical fashion for Australia. Not to forget contributions from Short and Head. However, the man who set it all up was the big boy, Stanlake. His unchanged new ball spell fetched him a 4-fer and Pakistan never really recovered. Presentations to follow, stay tuned.
Shadab Khan to Finch, FOUR, couldn't have gone any worse for Pakistan. Game sealed and fittingly, Finch finishes off things for Australia as they romp home by nine wickets with 55 balls to spare. Flighted delivery from Shadab, Finch goes for glory and connects, hits it to long-on where Asif Ali makes a meal of it. Leaps, misjudges and palms it away to the ropes
Shadab Khan to Finch, SIX, whacked straight down the ground. Shadab darted it wide of off, asking Finch to fetch. The Australian skipper went low, stretches his arms and deposited it over the bowler's head
Shadab Khan to Head, 1 run, now the leggie, Head works it behind square on the leg-side
Shadab Khan to Finch, 1 run, googly again, cramps Finch for room. Turned away to long-on
Shadab Khan to Head, 1 run, googly from Shadab, Head waits and tils his bat to steer it towards backward point

Usman Khan to Finch, 2 runs, fuller on the pads, Finch walks across and clips it past short fine leg. Collects a brace to the tally and brings down the equation to 13
Usman Khan to Finch, leg byes, FOUR, hustled for pace, Finch is beaten on the short-arm jab and is rapped high on the pad. A mild appeal from the bowler but the umpire walks away disinterested. The ball rolls away towards third man, the fielder was slightly squarer and it runs away for four leg-byes
Usman Khan to Finch, FOUR, short and pulled past the man at 45. Banged short on leg, Finch swivels and helps the pull, a bit airly and it eluded the short fine leg fielder
Usman Khan to Head, 1 run, tucked through square leg
Usman Khan to Finch, 3 runs, fifty for Finch. His 9th in T20Is. Leading the chase from the front for his team. A gentle raise of the bat to soak in the applause. Tucking for space, Finch helped it past short fine leg - more off the inner half. The fielder from deep square leg sprints across and tries to relay the throw back to another fielder. Messes up and lobs it over his head. Easy three grabbed
Usman Khan to Head, 1 run, shortish outside off, Head slices the drive to the right of sweeper cover
Usman Khan [2.0-0-20-0] is back into the attack
