That's a wrap as far as this game is concerned. Australia have gotten a head-start in this ODI leg of their tour, can they clinch the series on Sunday or will England stage a comeback and draw level? Only time will tell. We shall take your leave and until next time, goodbye and good night from all of us. Tadaa!

Josh Hazlewood, Man of the Match: Really enjoyed it. The batting did well, not a good start but in the end to get (close to) 300 was fantastic. I was happy and the ball was coming out nicely. We made the most of the conditions. We were lucky to get early wickets and put them under pressure. It's based on the schedule, it's hard to get momentum. It's important to stay fresh and I'm loving my time with the white ball. Coming off without many games, it has been challenging.

Aaron Finch: It was a nice start. The ball seamed around, Jofra exploited and they bowled nicely with the new ball. Overall, it was a good game of cricket. It was a great partnership (Marsh and Maxwell), they played smart and matured innings. I thought on that wicket, if we bowled well, we knew we had a chance. I was confident that we would pull it off.

Eoin Morgan: Australia bowled outstandingly well. We felt we could chase it down if we could establish a few partnerships. Jonny and Billings kept us in the game for very long. Full credit to Australia. They played well, we did everything to get into that position but we let them recover. Sam's opportunity has been limited and sporadic, but coming and getting a score today is outstanding. Showed a lot of resilience. Batting at 5 and 6 is an area that we need to improve.

21:10 Local Time, 20:10 GMT, 01:40 IST: No team has ever chased in excess of 250 at this ground and that record will stay intact. Spare a thought for Billings, was there till the end but couldn't take his team through. Nonetheless, he's played a gem and even the Australian players appreciate his efforts. England started in a similar fashion like Australia in the chase losing their top-order early with Hazlewood making the batsmen dance to his tunes. They slipped to 57-4 with Zampa joining the party too removing Morgan and Buttler in his opening two overs. Bairstow and Billings tried to emulate Marsh and Maxwell for England as they rebooted the chase. Both struggled initially but found their bearings once they were set. A 100-plus stand saw them make a turnaround but Australia came back strongly and once Zampa snuffed out Bairstow for 84, the hosts lost wickets in a hurry and Billings was left waging a lone battle. Despite batting till the final ball and reaching his maiden ODI ton, he couldn't help his team cross the finish line.
