Steve Smith collects the trophy and he quickly joins his colleagues as they pose for the photographs with the silverware standing behind the CHAMPIONS hoarding. Tests: India 2 - 1 Australia. ODIs: India 1 - 2 Australia. The Aussies are now the No. 1 side in both the formats, followed by India. These two teams will be next locking horns against each other in June at a neutral venue for the WTC final. And there's a two-month break ... err ... carnival called IPL before that, which commences in less than ten days. Rivals are set to become team-mates and vice versa. On that note, it's time to bring the curtains down as I have to gobble up some Ugadi Holiges. We had fun bringing you the four Tests and the three ODIs; hope you enjoyed as well. For now, it's goodbye from Abhinand Raghavendran on behalf of Abhinav Guha, Akshay Maanay and Vinod.
Steve Smith | Australia captain: It's been an enjoyable tour. We didn't play our best cricket, good enough to get over the line. This wicket was entirely different, we left a few out there with the bat. The spinners bowled beautifully, really good performance. (Turning point) It was a real grind in the field. The way the tail stuck and got us to 269, got us to a nice total.
Mitchell Marsh | Player of the Series: Natural aggression when it comes to batting. It's been a lot of fun. (On Opening) I've got my little mate (Warner) who'll come back at some stage. I'm coming off an extended break, worked on a lot of things. Came here really fresh. It's been great. Hopefully I can have fun with Delhi (Capitals) as well.
Adam Zampa | Player of the Match: I have had some success here. It's a tough place to come, always a huge challenge. I try to stay in the game and be competitive. Ashton Agar changed the game. Kudos to the bowlers who bowled before me as well. We trust each other, trust our game plan. The message was to trust our process and improve on it.
Rohit Sharma | India captain: I don't think it was too many runs. We didn't bat well. Partnerships are crucial and that's something we failed to do today. You are brought up playing in these type of wickets, it's important you apply. After the start, it was important for one batter to carry on and take the game deep. It just didn't happen. Lot of takeaways. We can take a lot of positives from the nine ODIs since January. We need to understand where we need to improve. It's a collective failure, we can take a lot of learnings from this series. Credit to the Australians. Both the spinners applied the pressure and so did their seamers.

- India’s first series defeat at home since they went down 2-3 against Australia in March 2019. They had won each of their seven thereafter.
- Adam Zampa’s 4/45 today was the first four-wicket haul for a visiting spinner against India since Ajantha Mendis’ 4/73 in Ranchi in 2014. The last Australian to do so was Brad Hogg: 4/49 (Nagpur, 2007).
Ashton Agar: It was nice. Lovely to finish the series on a high. It is a tough place to come and play, it was a hot day and to finish with a win was beautiful. It was a nice way to start (referring to his first ball), there was obviously plenty in the pitch for me and as soon as the first ball did that, it was a great indication on how I had to go about for the rest of the innings, put the ball in the right place and let the pitch do the rest. Mitch (Marsh) came back and said 250 would be a good total out there, he said it was starting to get slow and it was taking more turn. Gill and Rohit started nicely but it got harder and harder. It is always fun bowling with Zampa, we are great mates and we had a pretty good time out there.
Chasing 270, India got off to a brisk start. After losing both their openers in quick succession, Virat Kohli got his eye in and looked to steady the ship along with KL Rahul. Zampa broke the half-century partnership as the latter holed out to long-on. Axar Patel's promotion didn't work and Hardik came out all guns blazing. With a well-set Virat at the crease, India would have fancied their chance to chase down the target. But Agar turned the match on its head. In his final over, he induced Kohli into a false shot and removed SKY off the very next ball. The game was still in the balance with Hardik and Jadeja at the crease. That's when the other spinner - Zampa - came to the party. He removed both the all-rounders to extinguish any Indian hopes. Stick around for the presentations...
22:09 Local Time, 16:39 GMT, 22:09 IST: Australia are cock-a-hoop! With this win, they become the top-ranked ODI side. Smith had a quiet tour with the bat but he has led the Aussies really well. The Aussies have come back from behind to win this 3-match series. Their in-form bowler - Starc - had a bad day at the office, but the other bowlers stepped up and defended the total. Smith needed the services of just five bowlers. The Indian innings progressed very similar to Australia's except for the lower order contribution. Most of the frontline batters from both teams got starts but none of them managed to kick on as the bowlers kept applying the brakes with wickets at regular intervals.
Stoinis to Kuldeep Yadav, out Kuldeep Yadav Run Out!! Australia win the series! No pace to work with, Kuldeep Yadav shimmies down to pull and inside-edges to the left of the bowler. While Kuldeep keeps running, Siraj is ball-watching and stationary at the other end. Stoinis collects the ball after moving to his left and gently lobs it to the keeper who wraps up the proceedings. Kuldeep Yadav run out (Stoinis/Carey) 6(15)
