There's something clearly wrong when you're winless in a series for twelve months across formats. But Australia will celebrate, they've come here carrying an excess baggage of sandpapers, and quite fittingly, had Warner having redemption tonight, sinking the South Africans at the start to a point of no return. They'll take this 2-1, they'll take the trophy, they'll take the champagne. But we'll take a break, as I, Vineet Anantharaman sign off on behalf of Abhinand Raghavendran and Akshay Maanay. Until the ODIs with hopefully the Proteas getting into three-digits, ta ta!!

Aaron Finch | Winning skipper | MoS: It was nice with the new ball. Once the lights took effect it started to swing a little bit. Running between the wickets is something we pride ourselves on. You can face a lot of dot balls and hit a lot of boundaries in the powerplay and only go at 7-an-over, but with the running you can get it up to eight or nine. Wickets in the powerplay is key, it goes a long way if you keep your wickets in hand in winning the game. Yes, it is a very settled side. Huge credit to all the boys, Ashton in my mind was the Man of the Series. And with Adam Zampa, the way they've controlled the middle overs has been amazing. They spin it both ways and challenge both edges and they are a difficult proposition.

Mitchell Starc | MoM: I think it has been a pretty good job from all the bowlers and it is something we want to keep building on. Quinton is a key player and we saw that in the previous game; he's a nice one to get early and get stuck into their middle order. We were all hoping for Agar to get another hat-trick. The spinners have been excellent; we have been doing a good job and there are players waiting in the wings as well. We have a bit of time for the World Cup, a few T20s in New Zealand and we have time to build on it. A 100-run stand for the opening wicket and a few other positives are there for us to build on.

Quinton de Kock | Losing skipper: Absolutely no joy. It's quite disapointing the way we lost, but we have to keep our heads high. I would still have chased; they were 20 runs over par and unfortunately it wasn't a case of us winning tonight. Time in the middle for our players is key and getting back to winning ways will be a start. This is our last T20 for a while and we will have a chat and gather our thoughts when the time comes. Australia have been playing really well and are a very competitive team. We know how well they play at home. There are some new guys coming in for the ODIs and let's hope we get a win there.

21:13 Local Time, 19:13 GMT, 00:43 IST: So there's been stark improvement. From an 89 all-out in Jo'burg to a 96 all-out tonight, it's a seven-whole-run improvement for the world to see. From a 107-run defeat to a 97-run one tonight, there's a 10-run improvement. You'd thank Quinton, who made sure the script played itself out all over again for us to see how things have improved, whipping a Starc away-swinger to find his middle-stump uprooted. Faf - with a downgrading to number three - couldn't do much either. And then the spinners took over. But Shamsi - the spoilsport - just had to give us a twist in the remake, finding a way to jam his bat in the way of Agar's hat-trick. Booooo.

Starc to Rabada, out Lbw!! Full. Quick. Dead. Yes, dead. There may've even been an inside edge, but that's a bone he'll be left to pick with Pretorius. Anyway, it's the typical Starc yorker, on off, and just too quick for Rabada to get his bat down in time to. No, no, there's no inside-edge, it's just swinging a little too much. But it will clip leg nevertheless. Rabada lbw b Starc 5(4) [4s-1]

Starc to Rabada, THATS OUT!! Lbw!!

Starc to Rabada, FOUR, more erruption. Starc strays into the legs, and Rabada - the newfound all-rounder - is making up for his bowling misadventure with a neat crisp glance, fine leg

15.1

Starc to Shamsi, 1 run, scared. Scarred. Anyway, it's a seemingly harmless one on the pads, which Shamsi's backs away to, looks away, and awkwardly jabs his bat to fend it away into square leg. Again, Newlands errupts

Mitchell Starc [2.0-0-18-2] is back into the attack

Agar to Shamsi, 1 run, backs away, which Agar follows with a quick flat one on the toes, to be flicked through mid-wicket

Agar to Shamsi, no run, a swish, flaying away to backward point

Agar to Shamsi, no run, keeps it out. It's the loudest this crowd has been all night -- jamming his bat in the way with zero feet, off the back foot. Somehow
