Not for the first time this season, South Africa have started a series with a win. But they've failed to follow up on such a start before. They'll hope that this is the one where they end the drought that's lasted close to a year. That's it from us for now. Until next time, it's goodbye!

De Kock, South Africa captain: Pleased with how the boys went about it today. Klaasen batted really well. Lungi was also exceptional with the ball. We know what we have down the order with Miller. Also Klaasen. Matter of being consistent with what we do, then we'll be alright. Lungi is enjoying that leadership role. Good to see him like this. It's been alright (captaincy). I've always said that I need my keeping to help me with my captaining. Don't think it'll be the same effect if I go out in the outfield. Still feeling fresh, still feeling good.

Finch, Australia captain: Was a really good start from our quicks to get them at 48/3. But that was a great partnership of 150 between Heinrich and David. Made sure they had in batters going in the back part of the innings. When you're chasing a total like that, few things have to go right when the surface slows up. Lost too many wickets. Just got outplayed in all three disciplines to be honest. They were very good today. They're a very proud nation. You expect nothing less from them.

Klaasen, MoM: Great feeling, that's why that celebration came out. Pure emotion for all the hard work done as a youngster. Almost like another comeback after two weeks again. Just sticking to my gameplan and performing for the team. Kyle also played incredibly well on debut. Just had to go deep (after being reduced to 48/3). David let me play my game. He took a lot of pressure off me.

20:35 Local Time, 18:35 GMT, 00:05 IST: A comprehensive performance for once from South Africa to wrap up a 74-run win. Klaasen's maiden ODI hundred gave them a really good score on a pitch where the ball wasn't coming on that well. Even so, Australia were in the chase while Smith was there. There was a period where he went without a boundary for 24 overs, but still kept the rate moving along nicely with excellent field maneuvering. But his dismissal, on the back of Mitchell Marsh's, sealed it for South Africa, who were very disciplined with the ball right through, led by Lungi Ngidi who had given them the upper hand with early wickets of both Aaron Finch and David Warner.

Nortje to Hazlewood, out Bowled!! Nortje storms through Hazlewood and pummels the off stump. Hazlewood took a step towards leg to begin with, and the sight of all three stumps was too big of a target for Nortje whose fiery pace was too hot to handle. Hazlewood b Nortje 1(4)

Nortje to Hazlewood, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Anrich Nortje [7.0-0-39-1] is back into the attack

Jayshankar Naik: Scoring only 48 runs out of 209 with boundaries!!! That's where AUS lost this match...

Phehlukwayo to Cummins, out Caught by Verreynne!! Verreynne has pulled off a ripper in the outfield and seems to have become a darling of his teammates after his third catch on debut. Skewed up off the toe-end as Cummins is deceived by a slower ball. Verreynne comes charging in from long-on and dives forward for a brilliant low catch. South Africa's players charge towards him in jubilation. Cummins c Verreynne b Phehlukwayo 6(7) [4s-1]

Shamsi to Cummins, 1 run, short ball down leg, Cummins pulls to deep backward square

Shivam Goel: Australia is paying the price of being overconfident of not playing the fifth bowler, had Agar played today, South Africa's total would have been different.

Shamsi to Zampa, 1 run, works it with the turn behind square. Malan came rushing in to field, and has done something to his hamstring while doing so. He hobbles off clutching his left hamstring
