Australia 2-1 South Africa, that's how it stands at the moment. A confidence-boosting win for the Proteas just when they needed it. That's it from us here then, this is Anurag Hegde signing off on behalf of Raju Peethala, Kumar Abhishek Das and Mukesh HS. Take care and goodbye.

Did you have any of Markram, de Kock and Head as the captain/vice-captain of your fantasy team? Aiden Markram | Player of the Match: Nice to contribute when the team does well and we win. Crunch game for us to win and stay in the series. Very pleasing. Challenging, quite stoppy and the odd one was turning quite a bit. Once you get a bit of momentum, we tried applying pressure. Our bowlers did well after we got a nice total. I wasn’t feeling too great in the first 10 balls but was nice to battle through that and be there for the team at the end. I was just trying to think of getting sixes in the last over. Grateful that it was meant to be and I got the hundred.

Temba Bavuma | South Africa Captain: Happy with the end and the result. Needed a positive one to keep the series alive and we were able to do that. Batters knuckled down, got Aiden to do something special for the team. Bowlers did well. Will have a conversation on the powerplay and how we can navigate ourselves better but we did well otherwise. I thought 320 was par. It nibbled a bit upfront, we always gave ourselves some leeway with the partnerships we got. We lost a couple of wickets consecutively and that dented our momentum. The guys have gotten a proper sighter on what to expect when playing against Australia. It’s all about learning, there’s always going to be that challenge in international cricket. We bank ourselves on our fast bowlers but when we saw conditions today we thought we could go with two frontline spinners. Not forgetting Aiden as well, played a crucial role with the new ball. The series is still set up, as long as we keep improving as a team it’s great. We’ve gone one notch up, we want to keep raising the bar.

Mitchell Marsh | Australian Captain: Disappointing day for us, areas we can improve with both bat and ball. Credit to South Africa today. Thought the total was above par, 290-300 would’ve been par. Probably mis-read it a bit, spin did really well today. Hopefully we learn a lot from it, no doubt we’ll be exposed to such conditions a lot in the World Cup. Generally we’ve played spin really well in the recent past but was a bit of a slip up today. It turned and didn’t see that at the start of the day.

19:53 Local Time, 17:53 GMT, 23:23 IST: A convincing win for the Proteas as they record their first win of the series. At the beginning of the chase, it looked like Australia would run away with it but South Africa fought back really nicely and claimed a massive 111-run win in the end. Warner and Head got them off to an absolute flier. They looked simply unstoppable as the ball went to all parts and they didn't slow down even as Head fell for 38 in the 8th over. The game turned completely on its head when South Africa's spinners came on though. Shamsi and Maharaj first racked up the dots to build pressure and capitalized when Australia tried to hit their way out of it. Marsh holed out trying to be unnecessarily expansive and Warner got extremely unlucky as he was run-out. Labuschagne looked good while he was out there but a charged up Shamsi got the better of him and Australia's spine just collapsed thereafter. Shamsi and Maharaj bowled beautifully in tandem and Coetzee came in to clean things up. Earlier in the day, South Africa posted a commanding 338 on the back of a breezy 82 from de Kock and a scintillating century from Markram.
