Fast bowling like that, it doesn't get much better. Starc and Hazlewood combined to blow the run chase to smithereens as Australia wrapped up a comfortable win to go 1-0 up, picking 10 points in the Super League as well. That's all from us from this one. Until next time it's goodbye.

Carey: Yeah it was (special). Not only for me but the three other guys on debut. Obviously the two quicks up front were pretty special as well. I wouldn't say I made it look easy (the pitch), maybe Ashton did. We won the toss and we batted and I thought the wicket might've played a little different to what it did. For us to adapt and put on the score on the board which we thought was competitive, and then the way the powerplay went for us was fantastic. Ashton played a crucial role. Probably haven't seen a powerplay like that before. When they get it right we know how damaging they are. For them to rock up tonight, show Wes Agar on debut how it's done was pretty special.

Pollard: I think we did pretty well with the ball. Par score here is 260-270 and being able to restrict them to 250 was a fantastic effort. It is what it is (how does he assess the batting effort?). My biggest thing is I want the guys to fight. We have practiced long and hard enough. Most disappointing factor is we didn't show fight. We knew Australians are very dangerous with the new ball. That's where they look to pounce. If we fight through that, the rest of the attack we can manage. It's a matter of continuing to work hard, understanding my game, understanding my strengths. Just a matter of trying to enjoy it.

Mitchell Starc | Player of the Match: It was a special day, we had three debutants. I thought we did a fantastic job to get to 252. A pretty good all-round performance from the group today. We thought there was variable bounce, but a little bit of swing earlier on helped us. My role is similar throughout the white-ball format. He (Alex Carey) was pretty calm and collective, it was nice to get a win on his captaincy debut.

22:09 Local Time, 02:09 GMT, 07:39 IST: West Indies blown away in this chase. Lost a wicket first ball and were reduced to 27/6 as Starc and Hazlewood ripped through the lineup. Pollard offered some respite from the carnage with a fifty, unleashing on the leg-spin of Zampa. But Starc came back and wrapped it all up quickly, also completing his five-for in the process. West Indies just had no answers for him today after doing a reasonable job with the ball.

Zampa to Hayden Walsh, out Caught by Carey!! Some joy for Zampa as well to finish things off. Faint edge on the googly that kicks and bounces off a length as Walsh gets forward to defend. Carey fumbles on the first attempt with the ball rising sharply. But the rebound is very comfortable. Hayden Walsh c Carey b Zampa 20(26) [4s-4]
