That brings us to an end with our coverage for this one-off series. Let's hope the wait to host Bangladesh again is a shorter one. This is Vineet Anantharaman signing off in the company of the familiar culprits, Srivathsa, Pradeep Krishnamoorthy, Abhishek Chaudhary and Venkatesh. Ta ta!!

He walks over to collect yet another trophy. Another feather in his hat. Another in the BCCI cupboard. He is yet to watch another captain take it. And the entire Indian team come up, posing for our gallery section.

No surprises here - Virat Kohli is also the Man of the Match for his double century.

Kohli (2/2): "(On his form) It has been coming off nicely. Last year was something that I did not quite expect but it came off well. All I do is take every game as a fresh game, go in with the same mindset, back my skills and execute them but it is very important for me to not get ahead of myself. I am very happy with where my game stands at the moment and would like to continue this way for my team. I thought England was the biggest team of this season but after we won 4-0, there is a lot of expectations on us. The way we played our cricket, we would like to continue it in the future as well. All our minds and hearts are on that series already and we would like to start solidly in Pune. The crowd was outstanding over the five days. I have said it earlier as well, the crowd has always been coming in to watch us play. That pushes the players as well and it pushes us to play our brand of cricket. I hope they enjoyed our brand of cricket."

Kohli: "It was a good wicket to bat on, a good toss to win. Putting up massive runs on the board in the first innings always helps. The opposition batted well in the first innings. The plan was to get into good habits like we did in the past season as well and more importantly we have a big series coming up as well. The bowlers got back into their groove before an important series and all in all a good performance. The track didn't offer much and the bowlers found ways to get batsmen out and this was no different. The guys stuck it out, worked really hard for the wickets, had to be patient at times, did not get overexcited which was really good to see. Ishant's spell in the second innings was outstanding, bowling with the soft ball and getting it to reverse at pace either way was really good to to see. If you have two world class spinners in your side, you can tell the fast bowlers to come and attack. The partnership between the spinners and the pacers is very heartening to watch. This game has been a revelation for us. Bhuvi bowled beautifully with the old ball which is positive for us. (On his form) It has been coming off nicely. Last year was something that I did not quite expect but it did. All I do is take every game as a fresh game, go in with the same mindset, back my skills and execute them but it is very important for me to not get ahead of myself. Rahim: "I thought in the past as well we have created plenty of opportunities but we never held on from there which cost us. Had we restricted them to 500 or 600 it would have been different. They would have needed another session for the extra 100 runs that they scored. It was quite tough out there, their bowlers have a lot of variety not just with the spin but also with their pacers. They can move it both ways with the new ball as well as well as the old ball. It was a good learning performance against the number one side in the world and hopefully we would improve from here. I am very proud of my side. Even our number eight, nine and ten have showed a lot of character. We can learn a lot from India, how their lower order contributed against England. These are the little areas where we want to improve. There are a couple of matches against Sri Lanka and we'll look to do well there. We batted over 100 overs and Mehedi, in the first innings, batted and bowled well. Taijul bowled well. Our fielding let us down and there is scope of improvement there. But in the entire side the belief is there that if we can compete for over five days we can compete with the big boys. Unfortunately we couldn't do it here but hopefully in the future we would be able to do it."

But a match that would go down for the batting records it managed to shatter. Kohli in the avatar of his run-machine stealing his fourth double century in eight months, Vijay with his love for series starters, Pujara with his continued love for Hyderabad, Saha with his quiet run accumulations and Jadeja with his sword dance - have stamped their claim over this Test's rights. Umesh's wicketless spell, Ishant's fiery peppers and Bhuvi's swing in either innings cannot be forgotten. And neither can the twin-Spidermen spinning the web over the batsmen to mop things up in the end. Hang in there, the presentations (long speeches) coming your way..

Make no mistake, Bangladesh were way more competitive when you compare them to the fight the Kiwis and the English put up a few months ago. And they've surely tagged the ICC with some solid stonewalling in either innings staking claim for more Tests. Certainly more than five in over a year. Had it not been for Shakib's wicket or for Mushfiqur's brain fade, the Indians could have been stretched a lot closer. Bowling 228 overs to get 20 wickets quite says it all.

A strange way to end the proceedings. But India have been clinical. On some perfect batting conditions, Kohli has managed to march his men to yet another series victory. Grabs a stump, lets out a roar and his team mates reciprocate. India are yet to get the feel of a loss after Galle. Picking 20 wickets on a track such as this, one that refused to crumble, one that would give the NHAI officials an inferiority complex, the strategy of playing three seamers now looks a masterstroke.

Ashwin to Taskin Ahmed, out Lbw!! The umpires take matters upstairs. It is their review. Looking for a bump ball as Taskin looks to clip it away. So here we go on the slow mo - nothing off the bat. Just that it jammed the turf. And the ball missed it. Onto the pad. The third umpire flashes some greenery on the screen. All this for Kohli to flash a 'T' and keep him indulged further. Now the LBW is in check. Very full, and three reds. Uppal's decibels go off charts. India clinch another - should I say series. Taskin Ahmed lbw b Ashwin 1(7)

Ashwin to Taskin Ahmed, THATS OUT!! Lbw!!

Ashwin to Taskin Ahmed, no run, Ashwin seems keen. Only keen. The umpire isn't. A sharp turner pitching on leg and goes across. Misses the defence does Taskin and wears the brunt on his pad. Too high

Ashwin to Taskin Ahmed, no run, turning away sharply. Pitches on middle and rips away, an awkward jab comes in the way
