The first two days of the Test match were a complete washout and at that point only one result looked possible. But New Zealand had different ideas and they finished off the match in 202 overs. Well, we ridicule T20 cricket for having an adverse effect on our sport. But a result in two and a half days wouldn't have been thought about before the inception of the most glamorous format of our game. It has surely provided the teams with audacity to achieve the unthinkable and boy haven't New Zealand done something unprecedented in this match. They are a special unit in the longest form of the game and special teams usually find a way to win even from the most extraordinary situations. It proved to be a fascinating Test match and hope you would have enjoyed our coverage. This is Varun Dixit signing off in presence of Abhinand, Sagar Chawla and Sultan. Good night and take good care of yourselves.

Kane Williamson: It's okay (his shoulder injury). Fantastic performance. Limited amount of cricket, two and half days, to come and play like that, a lot had to go go our way. It was a good bowling effort to restrict Bangladesh. We needed to score quickly to get a chance of getting a result in the game. It was a fantastic double hundred from Ross Taylor. It was about playing good cricket. The wicket was offering a lot. We knew it would be challenging. Bangladesh bowled well with the new ball in the first innings without much luck and we capitalised. The game was far advanced. To come back today and to bowl to a Test victory was amazing. It (the green pitch) did quite a bit. It was hard to make accurate judgements. It was definitely a challenge, but you can score very quickly as well here. It helped our course anyway to post that large score which set up the game. (On Watling's injury) Hoping it's minor, I think he'll be assessed coming closer to the next game.

Mahmudullah: Very disappointed, we could have done a lot better. We are much better than that we feel. There was some help with the new ball, we should have applied better. Going forward, we need to adapt as soon as we can. I dropped a catch and there was another drop in the slips. Had we caught those, the bowlers might have gotten their confidence back. These are the mistakes we need to sort out. We need to back ourselves to cope (against the short balls). We lost too many wickets. Looking forward to the next game and will try to put a better performance.

Ross Taylor, Man of the Match: As a batter, it always plays in your mind when you are looking down - the green track. Full credit to the team; getting 20 wickets and obviously putting a competitive total on the board. I tried to be positive. It was lucky that me and Kane survived that spell. Once we got through the early stages, the margin of error for the bowlers was small. He (Martin Crowe) had a big influence on my career. I'm sure he'd have been proud. I had a couple of glasses raised for him. Hopefully, there's a couple more left from me.

13:14 Local Time, 00:14 GMT, 05:44 IST: A champion performance by New Zealand. It was Ross Taylor with the bat yesterday. But today was all about Wagner and his short pitch bowling. Bangladesh got off to a solid start this morning. Wagner was off the field so he came into the attack very late. But once he was brought into the attack, he pounded the surface hard with a lot of anger. And Bangladesh batsmen had no answers to his short-pitch stuff. They tried to duck and then when that approach wasn't coming off, they tried to take him on. That didn't work either and the lower order of Bangladesh was blown away by the left arm pacer. For Bangladesh, their skipper was magnificent. He was the only one who had a plan to combat Wagner. But his resistance also ran out in the end. And Bangladesh surrendered after that and handed a victory of an innings an 12 runs for the home side. Remember, Wagner was the wrecker-in-chief in the first innings too after Bangladesh got off to an excellent start on a green deck. Hang on for the presentations.

Wagner to Ebadat Hossain, out Bowled!! That's it, Wagner has smashed the stumps and finished it off in style. What a bowler he is becoming! Another five-wicket haul for him. New Zealand take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in this series. It was very full and attacking the stumps, Ebadat Hossain backs away. He was not in the line with the ball, pokes his bat out in the end. But he was beaten by the pace, it raptured though his defence and disturbed the timber. Ebadat Hossain b Wagner 0(2)

Wagner to Ebadat Hossain, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

55.5

Wagner to Ebadat Hossain, no run, very full and wide of off, Ebadat Hossain misses it. It was very close to the off-stump

Ebadat Hossain, right handed bat, comes to the crease

Wagner to Mahmudullah, out Caught by Boult!! In the air and taken. A fabulous innings from Mahmudullah comes to an end. Bangladesh skipper should be proud of the effort. But he shouldn't be proud of the shot he played. It was banged in short and Mahmudullah charges at it. It ends up at an awkward height for him and he top-edges the pull shot. Boult at fine leg is safe as a house and he takes it without much fuss. It wasn't an easy catch, mind you. Mahmudullah c Boult b Wagner 67(69) [4s-12 6s-1]

Wagner to Mahmudullah, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

Wagner to Mahmudullah, no run, down the leg-side and Mahmudullah fails to get any bat to it

Wagner to Mahmudullah, SIX, that's been crunched by Mahmudullah. He knew what the length would be, he backed away and got himself in a good position. And just times the cut shot to perfection, over third man for a maximum

55.1

Wagner to Mahmudullah, no run, short of length delivery on the body, Mahmudullah hops in the crease and defends it to the leg-side

Boult to Abu Jayed, no run, low full toss on the stumps, Abu Jayed pushes it to cover

54.5

Boult to Abu Jayed, no run, fuller length delivery wide of off, Abu Jayed leaves it alone

54.4

Boult to Abu Jayed, no run, it was a short of length delivery with a lot of venom, it was directed at the face and Abu Jayed wanted to upper cut it. No contact with the bat and into the gloves of keeper. New Zealand challenged the decision but they were proved wrong

Abu Jayed, right handed bat, comes to the crease

New Zealand have taken a DRS for a caught behind. Nigel Llong is taking a stern look at it. There isn't any spike on the UltraEdge and NZ will lose their review.

Boult to Mustafizur, out Bowled!! Bails flies in the air and middle stumps cops a serious blow. As comprehensive a dismissal as you would ever see. It was a fuller length delivery attacking the stumps, Mustafizur wanted to clobber it to the on-side, no contact with the bat and it smashes the middle stump. Mustafizur goes back but not before having some fun in the middle. Mustafizur b Boult 16(22) [6s-2]
