That is all we have from the first T20I. The next one's in McLean Park, Napier starting at 19:00 local, do remember to join us for that. We've got New Zealand women taking on Australia in an hour's time (Seddon Park) and the India-England decider in Pune isn't too long from now either. Hop tabs to catch all the action for what should be an entertaining finish to the weekend. Until next time, this is Raju Peethala waving goodbye on behalf of Abhinand Raghavendran, Nikhil Jadhav, and our scorer, Siva. Cheers!!

Tim Southee: It was a relatively inexperienced side, but to put up a performance like that was very pleasing. Was pleasing to see Will play so well and also Devon carrying on what he has done at this level. It's great to see guys come out and perform like this. There are a number of guys knocking on the door who are coming out and performing well at this level, that's a great sign for New Zealand at the moment. You try to stick to your plans (with the ball) but it's always nice to have those runs on the board. It's not easy coming back from a stress fracture like that, so he (Ferguson) might have gained some confidence bowling those four overs.

Mahmudullah: The bowlers bowled quite well, Nasum Ahmed bowled really well on his debut. Once again, we have let ourselves in the batting dept, kept losing wickets in clusters. We need to pick ourselves up in the second game. He's (Conway) in very good touch, he has been batting really well. We need to find a way to restrict him. 190 was a good score here to chase, we conceded few more boundaries. But the batting unit has to click. Ish is an experienced campaigner, he used the conditions really well, the ball was gripping a little bit here. We can't afford to make the same mistakes again and again.

Conway | Player of the Match: Pretty happy with the way things went today. Good to get the series off to a winning start, so happy days. In T20, you can be really positive, just came off for me again today. With Youngy, it was awesome to bat alongside him. And also with GP in the end, it was awesome the way he hit the ball. Pretty good day with the bat. For me, it's about watching the ball, playing the ball to its merit and sticking to the basics. Try and stick to that as much as possible. Sometimes specially against the spinners when I try to reverse-sweep or sweep behind square, I am premeditative.

17:21 local: Just over a month ago at Hagley Oval Christchurch, a similar script unfolded with the only difference being the result of the toss, and the opponents (Australia on that occasion) of course. Conway remained not out in the 90s on both occasions and quite surprisingly, Ish Sodhi recorded identical figures of 4 for 28 which also happens to be his best figures in T20I cricket. The hosts made full use of the short square boundaries and the 105-run third wicket partnership between Young and Conway took the game away from the visitors. Though Bangladesh got off to a decent start, wickets at regular intervals hurt their momentum consistently and never got going in the chase. All in all, a fantastic game for New Zealand who ticked plenty of boxes during the course of this game.

Bennett to Shoriful Islam, out Caught by Guptill!! There's the Guptill special in his 100th T20I game. Followed the ball from backward point, kept sprinting and all this while his eyes were set on the ball. Puts in a full length around the deep point region and completes the catch sans any fuss. It was full and just outside off, Shoriful slices it off the thick inside edge and it never looked like a catch. Shoriful Islam c Guptill b Bennett 5(7) [4s-1]

Bennett to Shoriful Islam, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
