That's it from this game. The teams head to Auckland for the final game. Bangladesh had their chances but couldn't convert them today. Can they end the series on a high? Southee did say his side is keen to finish the summer on a high. See you all on Thursday for the third T20I. Take care!

Southee | New Zealand captain:: Unusual game with the rain and the shortened version. Been a great summer. We were privileged to have teams come here in these times. Pleasing to have a full summer and a good summer in these times is pleasing. They did put us under pressure. Glenn did a great job with the wet ball for an off-spinner. Just went on gut feel about the bowling changes. The slower balls were holding. Pleasing to get over the line. We will see how everyone pulls up. It's another opportunity to finish the summer on a great note and would love to end on the right note.

Mahmudullah | Bangladesh captain: There was some confusion, and the DLS kept changing, but that can happen in the game. First ten overs we were on track but we didn't finish well enough. I think Naim and Soumya gave us momentum, but Phillips and Sodhi were extremely good and we couldn't capitalize on their overs, and if we capitalize on those chances, we can go on to win. Taskin took a brilliant catch, and that gave us a lot of confidence, but it's important to finish well in the T20 format. Our top order has been great, and hopefully we take that positive into the next game.

Glenn Phillips | Man of the match: It was really about hitting hard down the ground with the wet outfield and running a lot of twos with the skid. Daryl's power is incredible so having someone like him makes the partnership really enjoyable. There's a moment with DLS, when you're thinking about going hard or saving wickets because it might affect the equation. There's always nerves about bowling, but I've been practicing, and ideally it would be my job to do, bowling to two lefties, and on another day it would be another person's job. Getting a wicket for someone like me, it's the best feeling in the world.

23:10 Local Time, 10:10 GMT, 15:40 IST: So a 2-0 lead for New Zealand and they have sealed the series, their ninth successive series win at home across formats. The New Zealand innings saw two rain breaks. The first didn't have a massive impact but the second was long enough to cut their innings short. Finn Allen looked very brisk in his short stay. Bangladesh did make inroads but Phllips and Mitchell shared an unbeaten 62-run stand to propel the hosts. Bangladesh started their chase and the game was paused in the second over because they weren't sure of the exact target for the visitors. Play resumed and Soumya Sarkar recorded a 25-ball fifty. Once he fell, none of his mates could take the baton forward and New Zealand chipped away at the wickets. Phillips came out really well bowling tight lines. Southee led from the front with 4-0-21-2.

Southee to Mahedi Hasan, leg byes, 1 run, on the pad, appeal but the ump says no. Slower delivery slightly heading down leg, Mahedi missed the slog and gets hit just about in line with leg stump. Waste of time as Southee decides to review and he's already walking to his mark for the next ball after signalling the review. We are forced to go through the process, impact just in-line with leg and comfortably missing the sticks says ball-tracker
