The Bangladesh captain collects the trophy and hands it over to his team mates who pose for the cameras. The players are happy, the fans are happy and it looks like the celebrations in the dressing room will continue all night long, like I said before. They have brought their best game forward and thumped the Proteas in this 3-match ODI series. A lots of positives for them and they'll take this confidence into the Test series as well. South Africa have a depleted bowling attack with Rabada, Ngidi and Jansen set to leave for India to play the IPL. Can Bangladesh make the most out of this situation? We shall find that over the next few weeks. For now, this is Nikhil signing off on behalf of Mukesh. Ciao!

Tamim Iqbal | Bangladesh captain: I am very proud, especially with a Bangladesh fast bowler getting Player of the Match and Player of the series. I want to thank all the coaches who have worked with the fast bowlers, they have done a fantastic job. This is our one of the biggest achievement, it's a massive win. We now believe we can win series overseas, and this win will give us that confidence moving forward. We take a lot of pride in ODI cricket, we believe we are a good side. This is one format where we have been doing well in the last 5-6 years. Winning a series overseas was missing, but we have managed to do that this time. For Shakib to come here and play is massive. Shakib's family is in the hospital, so I want to thank him for coming here and playing for us. I feel this is like mini Dhaka, the fans have been brilliant. Wherever we go, they are there for us, whether we win or lose. I'm not the Test captain, but we would like to do well there as well. We did well against New Zealand, so we would like to do that here as well.

Temba Bavuma | South Africa captain: I think Bangladesh were the better outfit, they showed how to bat, bowl and in the field. You know how clinical with the bat they were here in the first ODI. They had the intensity, we need to work a lot and go back to the drawing board. We were outplayed in this series. I think the standard and intensity with which we played against India was another level. But we were not just good enough in this 3-match ODI series. Guys as individuals know where they stand, as a leader I can't use that as an excuse. I can judge only in terms of what we did on the field and judge our processes and our intensity. We weren't good enough across all the three departments, that's all what I can say. We need some points to qualify for the World Cup. Against India we had taken a couple of steps forward, in this series we took a couple of steps back. That's the disappointing fact. We still have games and we have opportunities to get those points, but the most important thing for us is to understand our game.

Taskin Ahmed | POTS, POTM: I'm feeling happy and proud as we have won for the first time in South Africa. This is also my first Player of the Series award. I have been following the same process in the last one and a half year, I followed the same process today and hopefully I will continue. My captain supports me in every match and gives me a particular role, I just try to follow that. I have been working on my length and just trying to follow the basics. Still have to learn how to bowl on flat and slow wickets.

18:09 Local Time, 16:09 GMT, 21:39 IST: Bangladesh create history and register their first-ever ODI series win on South Africa! What a sweet, sweet achievement and the Bangladesh fans in the stands are all over the moon. They are absolutely loving it. They deserve every bit of this celebration as the visitors have been clinical in this series decider. Barring the first hour of the match, nothing clicked for South Africa. Electing to bat first, the Proteas got off to a quick start, but once the opening partnership was broken, they fell down like nine pins. Taskin Ahmed bowled a magnifient spell as he claimed five wickets to bundle out South Africa to a paltry score of 154. The Bangladesh openers came out all guns blazing in the run chase with Tamim Iqbal taking charge and playing a captain's innings. He kept dealing in boundaries and Liton kept farming the strike from the other end. In the process, Tamim notched up his 52nd ODI fifty as Bangladesh finished off the chase within 26.3 overs. The celebrations are going to continue all night long. Stay tuned for the presentations..

Rabada to Shakib, FOUR, Shakib Al Hasan hits the winning runs! What an emphatic victory for Bangladesh who have beaten South Africa by 9 wickets to clinch the series 2-1. An absolutely clinical performance as they have outplayed the opposition across all the departments. A short and wide ball outside off and Shakib seals the deal with an exquisite square cut through point. Tamim walks back to the pavilion as his team mates charge on to the field to greet him. Allan Donald - the Bangladesh fast bowling coach will be proud of that performance, especially by Taskin Ahmed
