Bangladesh won by 45 runs
PLAYER OF THE MATCH : Shakib Al Hasan
Bowler
So, that is it from this emotional encounter as Mashrafe Mortaza bids farewell to T20Is. Bangladesh were tough opponents and they adding to their new earned reputation. All the formats ended in a deadlock and the hide and seek for domination ensured the action was enthralling. Myself Kumar Abhisekh Das had absolute pleasure to bring this game to you in esteemed company of Abhinand and Reddy!
Upul Tharanga: I am disappointed. We played competitive cricket throughout the series. Shakib bowled really well. He used his variations really well. His experience of playing in so many leagues helped. We have improved a lot and there are still areas to improve. We need to be consistent in our improvements.
Mashrafe Mortaza: It has been fantastic. From the Tests to the ODIs and now in the T20Is, the boys have shown great character. We have been here before, but this time it was more enjoyable. I thank the supporters for supporting us everywhere. I am feeling proud that I could play with these boys. I would thank my cricket board for backing me in tough times. I would also thank my family.
Lasith Malinga, Man of the Series: I think I did not get much wickets. I am a wicket taking bowler. So, I realized I should use my slower balls and got a hat-trick in the process. Still getting better with my fitness. Thanks to my knee injury, I have been out of the longer formats.
Shakib Al Hasan, Man of the Match: I thought it was a very good wicket. I thought we were 10 runs short. We bowled well upfront though. We took the pace of the ball. We don't play T20 that much. We batted well in the first 6 overs and in the middle as well. We could not finish well. Coming to Sri Lanka and playing well was not easy. But the players did well. He is someone very special(On Mashrafe). I knew him before I started playing. We come from the same place.
The skipper - Mashrafe Mortaza is leading his boys off. They are men now. He waves at a few in the stands. So, it is a truce in all the formats. 1-1 in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. They looked equals when the tour started and can there be a greater validation of that fact thanks to the result, quips my friend Pratyush Sinha. After triumphant bargains in South Africa and Australia in the shortest format, Sri Lanka have tripped on Bangladesh. The Bangladeshi openers led the way, the middle order had their little moments and the end was about the death over specialist - Lasith Malinga. He picked up his 4th international hat-trick and ensured the task for the batters was easier than what could have been. But another seasoned campaigner decided to take charge. Shakib put the cat among the pigeons and disturbed the apple-cart of the opposition. The wickets jamboree never ended and Sri Lanka were shunted out for 131. Presentations in a bit...

Mohammad Saifuddin to Sanjaya, out Caught by Mahmudullah!! It is all over! Bangladesh win by 45 runs in Mashrafe's last T20I game. A length ball and the batsman sliced the ball in the air for the man at long-off to take a smart catch. An emphatic win this has been for Bangladesh. The skipper looks heaven-wards and thanks his stars, gets a hug from everyone. Sanjaya c Mahmudullah b Mohammad Saifuddin 6(3) [4s-1]
Mohammad Saifuddin to Sanjaya, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Mohammad Saifuddin to Sanjaya, 2 runs, another mistimed hit, the ball lobs into the mid-off region to come back for a couple
Mohammad Saifuddin to Sanjaya, FOUR, a typical tail-ender's slog and the ball dribbles away over the fence at long-off. It was a length ball, the batsman backed away and got enough wood to send it over mid-off
Mohammad Saifuddin to Kulasekara, 1 run, drags the ball down into the off-side for a single
Mohammad Saifuddin to Kulasekara, no run, and now the keeper acrobatically dives to his right with a fling of his right arm and gather it
Mohammad Saifuddin to Kulasekara, no run, raps the pads but that was going down
Mohammad Saifuddin [2.0-0-17-0] is back into the attack

Mustafizur to Malinga, out Bowled!! A t20 newbie rattles up the defences of a t20 legend. And how ironical with a slower delivery. The ball spat away after landing to traverse a way to the sticks as the flayed attempt from the batsman fell flat. The writing is on the wall. As Deano says it - 'the fat lady has entered the building'. Malinga b Mustafizur 0(3)
Mustafizur to Malinga, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!
Mustafizur to Malinga, no run, another slower delivery pushed across the batsman for him to miss it
Mustafizur to Malinga, no run, gets the ball to angle across and the gait from Malinga to slog that reminds me of a rhyme - hop a little, jump a little, one two three
Mustafizur to Kulasekara, 1 run, mistimes the drive down to long-on for a single
