The players from both sides come out to shake hands, West Indies will be disappointed, they would have fancied this chase. On the other hand, Bangladesh might just be happy that they go into tomorrow's game with the series still wide open. The groundstaff did their best, but yesterday's downpour and two rain interruptions during the game meant that we were always running against time to complete the match. It's a short turnaround with both teams back at the same venue for the 2nd T20I tomorrow. Do join us for all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
17:15 Local Time, 21:15 GMT, 02:45 IST: The outfield is being roped as the pitch gets uncovered. We'll hear news about the possible run-target and the number of overs in this run chase, but I doubt West Indies will get 13 overs. The two umpires are checking out the conditions and have called the two captains for a chat. They're shaking hands, has the game been called off? We're hearing that 5:18 pm was the cut-off time for a 5-over chase, we are past that time and unfortunately the 1st T20I has been called off
17:10 Local Time, 21:10 GMT, 02:40 IST: Looks like the rain has stopped once again, but it was a sharp shower and there is plenty of water on the covers. Fair to say, Bangladesh's innings is over and West Indies will chase a DLS adjusted target. Will they get to face 13 overs? We'll get to know only when play resumes. The sun is out once again and we should have some cricket. A I type, the covers are being removed.
17:01 Local Time, 21:01 GMT, 02:31 IST: The rain is back! And it is pretty heavy this time. Bangladesh started brightly and came out with the right intent, scoring 45 runs in the powerplay as Shakib and Anamul Haque enjoyed the fielding restrictions. However, losing quick wickets has been their scurge this innings, as they crumbled from 36/1 to 77/7. The rain hasn't helped their cause either, but in all fairness they also took too many risks and tried to slog too often, resulting in this situation. West Indies bowlers have been accurate, specially the spinners who picked up three wickets while conceding a little over a run a ball in their overs. The chase should be straightforward with so many attacking batters in their ranks, let's see how they get on with the chase...

Odean Smith to Nurul Hasan, out Caught by Brandon King!! Fuller length and bowled much wider of off, Nurul Hasan reached for it and tried to slog it over deep mid-wicket, but it always looked like a mistimed shot and it ends up as a regulation catch for Brandon King running in from the fence! Odean Smith to Nurul Hasan, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Odean Smith to Nurul Hasan, SIX, on a length and straighter, Nurul Hasan connects much better with his slog over mid-wicket. Staying back in his crease and using the bowler's pace, that six goes 92 metres into the stands
Odean Smith to Nurul Hasan, 2 runs, fuller outside off, Nurul Hasan shuffles closer and slog it over square leg who came inside the circle. Deep mid-wicket cuts it out
Odean Smith to Nurul Hasan, SIX, clever, very clever! It was on a length around off, Nurul Hasan ramps it over short fine-leg for a maximum. Smith has a bit of laugh about it but this was a superb cricket shot by the Bangladeshi batter...
