Tamim and co. collect the trophy and pose proudly behind the "Winners" banner after a 3-0 cleansweep. Another clinical performance comes to an end from Bangladesh, as they surge further in pursuit of being one of cricket's superpowers some day. For now, it's Rishi Roy, bidding you goodbye and good night, alongside Nikhil and Naga. Cheers!
Tamim Iqbal | Bangladesh captain | Man of the Match: I am happy that I contributed, and if I have to summarise, it was a very good wicket. They could have got 25-30 more runs, and we bowled very well at the death. If you want to do well at the World Cup, we need to be able to chase this kind of score every day and I think this is good practice for the World Cup. I won't be part of the T20 team because of the injury, I have rehab for 8-10 weeks, but I wish the team luck for the T20 series.
Shakib Al Hasan | Player of the series: It felt good to contribute to the team's success. Winning 3-0 away is not easy, so credit goes to the team for the performance. The pitch was very good, the ball was coming on, so I thought I missed my opportunity with the bat. In T20s both teams are in the game all the time, and we need to be at our best all the time, because one or two balls changes the whole game, so we are looking forward to that.
Brendan Taylor | Zimbabwe Captain: In hindsight there weren't enough runs, about 15-20 short. They set up the innings well, set up by Tamim. We haven't played ODIs for 9 months, so looking forward to Ireland next. Regie has found another gear so pleased for him, Raza and Burl did well, so if we can complement them a little more, we can get that edge. I thought about getting Muzarabani back, but I decided to stay with Tiripano with the reverse-swing, but they grinded it out and managed to edge us.
17:13 Local Time, 15:13 GMT, 20:43 IST: That's a dominating performance by Bangladesh. There were times they looked out of control, like the all-out assault from Raza and Burl, and the wickets of Tamim and Mahmudullah after the second drinks break. Other than that, however, they have shown that every player in the line up is up to it. Every player has made it count, taken on the weak links in the opposition, converted ones into twos, and shown immense determination even after wrapping up the series in the previous fixture. It all began with a beautiful hundred by Tamim, his 14th in ODIs, and despite a bit of panic in the middle overs, and a jittery innings from Mithun, Nurul Hasan and Afif Hossains, Nos. 6 and 7, carried Bangladesh over the finish line with panache. That's the new Bangladesh. No half-measures, no complacency. They've finished the task, and they can be mighty pleased with themselves. Zimbabwe, however, after an impressive recovery in their batting innings, were below par with the ball, with TIripano spraying it all over the place and not quite delivering what is expected of him. Zimbabwe bowled 20 wides today, not too many more than the opposition, but perhaps this is an aspect both sides need to look at and improve upon. Presentations coming up in a bit.
