Fine game that to get this tri-series underway. Bangladesh have had a rough week both on and off the field, so this win brings some solace. A great effort from Zimbabwe too, who must've thought they were in control, only for Afif Hossain to snatch it out of their hands. Next up, they'll be taking on Afghanistan tomorrow. We'll be back for it as always. For now, this is Sagar Chawla signing off on behalf of Raju Peethala, Sriram and our scorer Mukesh. Goodbye!
Shakib, Bangladesh captain: We can take lot of confidence from this win. Wasn't an easy win. This kinds of wins give you a lot more confidence. Happy with the way Mosaddek and Afif played. Hope they can continue that way and also hope the top-order finds form. Need to keep this momentum going. Afghanistan is another difficult opponent, need to be at our best.
Afif, MoM: Was trying to be positive from the front. Was excited to play, having got an opportunity after so long. Wanted to hit the ball and time it well. Enjoyed the partnership with Mosaddek.
Masakadza, Zimbabwe captain: Were right in the game at the beginning. Guys at the back did well to get us a fighting total. Ryan struck the ball nicely and had a brilliant game today.
23:25 Local Time, 17:25 GMT, 22:55 IST: What a turnaround that was. In a matter of a couple of overs, the crowd went from being stunned into silence to rapturous cheering. And it was all down to Afif Hossain's onslaught which started as early as his first ball which he smashed to the boundary. At 60/6, Bangladesh had appeared to be in a hole that was too deep. Zimbabwe were all over them after superb new-ball spells from Chatara and Jarvis and Ryan Burl, who had scored a half-century earlier, had just taken a screamer to get rid of Sabbir Rahman. But Afif, with fair support from Mosaddek, triggered the comeback. Shortly after his arrival, there was a sequence of 8 balls where Bangladesh plundered 26 runs, which sparked the momentum which never ceased until the finish. It left Zimbabwe gasping by the end.
Neville Madziva to Saifuddin, FOUR, Saifuddin secures the win for Bangladesh, slugging this slower ball over midwicket. It's a thrilling start to this tri-series in Dhaka
Neville Madziva to Saifuddin, 2 runs, chips the low full toss over mid-off, good enough for two while the fielder runs back to retrieve
Mohammad Saifuddin, left handed bat, comes to the crease
Neville Madziva to Afif Hossain, out Caught by Masakadza!! Full toss outside off that's smoked hard into the off-side. But Masakadza, at short cover, just plucks it out of the smoke to end Afif's fireworks. It's probably too late though. Or is it? Afif Hossain c Masakadza b Neville Madziva 52(26) [4s-8 6s-1]
Neville Madziva to Afif Hossain, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Neville Madziva to Afif Hossain, 2 runs, slower bouncer which is dragged into the on-side by Afif, and although his pull isn't that well timed, the running between the wickets certainly is
Neville Madziva [3.0-0-17-1] is back into the attack

Chatara
4-0-32-2
Chatara to Afif Hossain, 1 run, full toss outside off, slapped to point. Mosaddek would've been gone again with a direct-hit, but it's not to be. Meanwhile, Afif brings up a fifty, which is almost certainly going to be a match-winning one. Mosaddek pats him on his helmet
Chatara to Afif Hossain, 2 runs, Chatara has fumbled the run-out opportunity with Mosaddek nearly halfway down the pitch. Zimbabwe's fielding has really gone down the drain as the pressure's risen. Back of a length outside off, slapped to long-off who gets to it for a swift release. The throw's right beside the stumps but Chatara crumbles
Chatara to Afif Hossain, FOUR, down to a run-a-ball as Afif smokes this full toss straight back past Chatara. Yorker gone terribly wrong, but not Afif's execution
Chatara to Mosaddek Hossain, 1 run, low full toss on off, Mosaddek makes some room and drives to extra cover
Chatara to Afif Hossain, 1 run, skips down the pitch but is met with a heavy short of length delivery which he barely manages to splice towards long-off
Chatara to Mosaddek Hossain, 1 run, back of a length on middle and leg, slower one from Chatara, Mosaddek turns it round the corner and hands it back to the red-hot Afif
Tendai Chatara [3.0-0-22-2] is back into the attack

4-0-31-2
Jarvis to Afif Hossain, FOUR, back-to-back fours to finish the over, bends the balance heavily towards Bangladesh. Playing an absolute gem out there, Afif Hossain. Slower ball across off, Hossain walks across and swipes it over short fine leg
