Bangladesh break their losing run in T20Is against Afghanistan after four consecutive defeats, which is a nice thing to get off their backs going into the final. More than the loss though, Afghanistan would be worried about the status of their talismanic captain who seems to have done something funny with his hamstring. His availability can have a major influence on how things pan out in Mirpur. We'll keep you in the loop building up to Tuesday. That's all for now. Goodbye!

Shakib, Bangladesh captain and MoM: If you look at the last few months, we haven't been upto the mark in T20s. We're working on it. The bowlers bowled well on that wicket. Needed someone to bat through the innings. And luckily today it was my day. Never felt I was out of form. Was hitting the ball really well. Was just a matter of spending time out there. Throughout this tournament, bowlers have done a fantastic job and fielders have backed them well. It's the batsmen who've let us down. This will give us a lot of motivation and confidence going into the final. Know that it'll be a different ball-game. Different conditions in Mirpur. Afghanistan are a very good side, that's why they're ranked No.7.

Rashid, Afghanistan captain: Got some trouble with the hamstring. Hopefully it'll be fine in a couple of days. Looks a bit sticky. Wanted to go and bowl and see how it feels. Looks 50-60% fine. That was the plan in coming back to the field. Losing too many wickets in the middle, which is an important period. That happens. Best things is that it's happened in the group stages. Have to restart and do the basics right for the final.

22:12 Local Time, 16:12 GMT, 21:42 IST: Shakib Al Hasan, after three failures in this tournament, has found his flow just in time for the final. And that's probably the biggest plus for Bangladesh from this contest, which they didn't start very well as Afghanistan's openers raced off to 75/0, only to later collapse with a heap of wickets, reminiscent of their effort against Zimbabwe yesterday. The chase wasn't all hunky-dory, as a target of 139 should suggest. But Shakib found just enough support to carry his team through with an unbeaten knock of 70. Let's listen in to the presentations.

4-0-20-2

18.6

Naveen-ul-Haq to Mosaddek Hossain, 2 runs, chipped off the toe-end over mid-on, just about clears the fielder and they're back for two. Bangladesh seal a reasonably comfortable win in the end

18.5

Naveen-ul-Haq to Mosaddek Hossain, 2 runs, low full toss on middle and leg, Mosaddek glances it in between fine leg and deep backward square

18.4

Naveen-ul-Haq to Shakib, 1 run, speared in full on leg, Shakib whips it out to deep midwicket. He takes it too casually on the single and is almost caught out by the fielder

18.3

Naveen-ul-Haq to Mosaddek Hossain, 1 run, short ball outside off, Mosaddek reaches out and cuts it to point

18.2

Naveen-ul-Haq to Mosaddek Hossain, 2 runs, slower ball on off stump, eased in front of long-on by Mosaddek who'd played it gently enough to enable the second run with the fielder having to run in

18.1

Naveen-ul-Haq to Shakib, 1 run, short of length delivery across off, dabbed to third man

Naveen-ul-Haq [3.0-0-11-2] is back into the attack

Rashid Khan

3-0-27-2

17.6

Rashid Khan to Shakib, 1 run, Rashid pulls this length back and Shakib smartly tucks him for a single through midwicket to keep strike. Just nine needed off 12 now

17.5

6

Rashid Khan to Shakib, SIX, this one's even better. He's nailed the leg-side slog, pumping Rashid's leg-break into the crowd. That should be it for Bangladesh

17.4

4

Rashid Khan to Shakib, FOUR, slogs this leg-break with the turn through midwicket. Proper connection from Shakib to find the boundary

17.3

Rashid Khan to Shakib, 2 runs, slightly short outside off, slapped wide of sweeper cover. The throw probably should've been at Shakib's end. The keeper isn't thrilled with that effort

17.2

Rashid Khan to Mosaddek Hossain, 1 run, picks the googly and punches it to deep midwicket

17.1

4

Rashid Khan to Mosaddek Hossain, FOUR, waits on this googly that's a touch short, and carves it through backward point. That's a timely boundary for Bangladesh who were starting to get concerned about the rate

16.6

Mujeeb to Mosaddek Hossain, 1 run, played out to cover

16.5

Mujeeb to Mosaddek Hossain, 2 runs, swatted wide of deep midwicket where Nabi makes a tumbling stop. He's in some discomfort, but is fine to continue

16.4

Mujeeb to Mosaddek Hossain, no run, beaten by this carrom ball which was bowled wide outside off to begin with, and then turned further away with Mosaddek slogging in vain. His back foot lifted momentarily, and they've gone upstairs for a stumping check. Mosaddek just about survives. His foot barely landed back in time
