So that's all for today. We'll be back tomorrow for the 3rd T20I between USA and Canada. Join us then, bye for now.
Monank Patel | USA Captain and Player of the Match: We wanted to check the first 2 overs, and we realised the wicket was good. We wanted to use the powerplay, and that got us the momentum. I think 230 on this pitch was a par score, and we needed to get wickets at crucial intervals. We talked about playing fearless cricket, worked a lot on training and happy to see the implementation. Going to India and playing out there has helped me. I think the new head coach has just given us the confidence to play fearlessly, back our strengths and play aggressively.
Saad Bin Zafar | Canada Captain: Our pace attack is inexperienced. T20 is a tough game, especially on flat tracks. We missed our lengths today, but we missed a few chances in the powerplay. My hand got injured in the first game, so not feeling the best with my arm. Secondly, it was about match-ups, hence I bowled after the powerplay. Impressed with the way we went about the chase. For the first 15-16 overs, we were in the game. A few less runs conceded and the game could have been different.
18:28 Local Time, 23:28 GMT, 04:58 IST: A spirited chase from the Canadians but ultimately there were too many conceded in the first innings. Pargat Singh and Aaron Johnson got a good partnership, with the latter scoring boundaries for fun as he notched up a 25-ball fifty. Pargat supported him for a while, but was caught out in the deep against the left-arm spinner. Similar was the story for Johnson who mistimed one to long-off. For the hosts, it was another solid performance with bat and ball. They bowled a lot of left-arm spin to the Canadian top order to get the most of that favourable match-up. In the end, despite the Aaron Johnson fifty and cameos from Harsh Thaker and Kirton, Canada fall short by 32 runs...
