Right, all the teams are done as far as preparations go for the 2022 T20 World Cup. They do have a couple of warm-up games even as the qualifiers roll on at Geelong and Hobart. All eyes now on 22nd at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) when Australia start the defence of their trophy against last year finalists and Trans-Tasman neighbours New Zealand. Plenty of cricket coming up to keep you on the edge of your seats. For now, cheers and bye..

Jos Buttler | Player of the Series - We had a good series in Pakistan, to come and continue that over here is a good feeling. We just had 2 and a bit overs to play, so just came out and gave everything we had with the bat. The conditions were challenging and I thought we were pretty good across every department. Woakes was unbelievable in his first spell tonight, got the ball to swing and that's good news for us.

Aaron Finch - It was, there was quite a bit of rain yesterday and today as well, and we would have been happier with a full game. Credit to England, they outplayed us in all the three games, but I thought the fielding was better on a slightly greasy surface tonight. We will take a couple of days off, recharge, enjoy each other's company and start our preparations for the World Cup

22:25 Local Time, 11:25 GMT, 16:55 IST: The game has been called off. With three sufficiently big rain breaks, we were always going to struggle to get a result, but both teams will now head to the World Cup with mixed feelings. England will be on a high and would be a bit disappointed considering they were in a great position to complete a 3-0 whitewash. On the other hand, Australia do have minor tweaks to be done, but they're playing at home and they're the defending champions for a reason. This was also the last T20I game before the mega tournament and all heads will now turn towards the 2022 T20 World Cup. The qualifiers start on the 16th while the already seeded teams will continue their preparations with a couple of more warm-up encounters. Do join us on 16th as Sri Lanka begin their pursuit at qualification with a game against the ever improving Namibians. That game will be at the Gold Coast and should be a cracker.

22:09 Local Time, 11:09 GMT, 16:39 IST: The rain has got heavier and the players are walking off. We still need 7 more balls to make a game of this and we're fast running out of time. The crowd wasn't one bit pleased, but you can't fault the umpires for walking off. The pitch has been covered and they're dragging the remaining covers to cover the square. We need to be back in the middle by 10:39 pm if they're to complete a 5-over contest. The DLS par score for Australia at the end of the 5th over was 52 for 3. As I type, the rain has got slightly heavier

Willey to Stoinis, SIX, clubbed, sheer power from Stoinis - backs away to a short ball and then smashes the cut over cover-point, hit falt and hard, sails away over the ropes for a maximum

3.4

Willey to Stoinis, no run, slower ball at the stumps, Stoinis pre-meditates his shot, moves across on the pull and is undone by the lack of pace

3.3

Willey to Smith, 1 run, on a good length and angling across the right-hander, sliced away to backward point with an open face, off for a quick single

It has started to drizzle once again

3.2

4

Willey to Smith, FOUR, lovely, back of a length and angling across the right-hander - Smith backed away and then sliced the cut square past cover-point, no need to run for those

3.1

Willey to Stoinis, 1 run, a direct hit at the bowler's end and Stoinis would have been on his way, was never a single there - back of a length and tucking Stoinis for room as he backed away, dropped back towards the bowler and it was his call, a bad call and he realised it mid-way. Willey was quick on the ball, slid and turned around, has a shy at the bowler's end and missed

David Willey, left-arm fast medium, comes into the attack

Woakes to Maxwell, out Caught by Stokes!! A third wicket for Woakes and Australia are in some trouble. Hit the deck hard and got some spongy bounce, drew Maxwell into the drive, but the ball lobbed high of the bat and straight down Stokes's throat at mid-off. Another failure for Maxwell as he walks away, England sniffing at a whitewash here. Maxwell c Stokes b Woakes 8(9) [6s-1]

Woakes to Maxwell, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

2.4

Woakes to Maxwell, no run, banged in short and holding its line outside off - Maxwell was arching back on the ramp, but lets it go by as an afterthought

2.3

Woakes to Smith, leg byes, 1 run, back of a length and at the stumps, Smith was shuffling across on the pull and missed, struck on the box and he's called through for a leg-bye

2.2

Woakes to Maxwell, 1 run, the slower ball from Woakes, very full and at the stumps, pushed down to mid-on for a single

2.1

4

Woakes to Maxwell, leg byes, FOUR, too straight from Woakes, drifts onto the pads and it's easy pickings for Maxwell - gets inside the line and helps it on its way with the flick, runs away fine and into the ropes
