Three cracking games in a fiercely contested series - one which will go down in history books for producing the most runs in a 3-match ODI series. England finished with four dots, quite a contrast given they finished the World T20 final at this very venue with four sixes. They''ve not done their growing limited overs reputation any harm with the way they''ve performed here. And we still have the T20s to come. Looking forward to them already. But that''s for Thursday. Join us then. For now on behalf of Srivathsa, Ramakrishnan, Sagar Chawla, Vineet Anantharaman and Siva it is a goodbye!
Kohli walks towards Ganguly and collects the trophy. He calls his team-mates to pose for the cameras. India win the series 2-1.
Kohli: "It's been a series of lot of positives for us. The team showed a lot of character. Even today we were 173/5, all the top-order batsmen back in the hut, but two youngsters step up and get a hundred partnership. Almost got us over the line. We got excited seeing two young guys showing great character against good quality fast bowlers. I think this is a great demo for us as far as the Champions Trophy is concerned. Jadhav is a brilliant find for us. We have backed for the last year and a half. He hasn't had many games, but now he's coming into his own. He's getting more experienced. Gives the two experienced guys (Yuvi and MS) the opportunity to bat up the order by taking responsibility down the order. He is staying positive and playing his shots, reading the game, I think it's priceless. That is one are where we wanted to strengthen and now Hardik is coming into his own as well as an all-rounder. Gives us great balance to play in overseas conditions. The moment I saw the pitch, I thought this was the perfect scenario to prepare for the Champions Trophy. Wickets are going to be similar, maybe not much hard as much carry and bounce as we got here. Seam and swing will be there. The fact that we got just five runs short of the target will give the boys a lot of confidence. In England, the key for us will be the lengths that we bowl as bowlers. Their bowlers were more consistent on this surface because they play on these kinds of wicket day in, day out. That is probably one are that we need to address and practice hard."

Morgan: "Finally (smiles). It's been hard work in the series. This was probably similar to an England wicket. Credit to the guys up front. It was tough and I thought Roy and Billings did an outstanding job. The bowlers did the job today, I thought we were a lot better today. The first two deliveries of the final over didn't exactly go according to plan and I thought the third and the fourth deliveries were perfect. We always encouraged the bowlers to hit the pitch and extract anything that is there from the surface. Scoring over 350 and the bowlers doing well today are the positives for us from this series."
Jadhav: "I was planning to play all the six balls. I knew that if I play six balls the bowler would be under pressure, because I was hitting the ball. Just taht I mistimed the ball I got out. I was not in a great position to hit the ball. I think being with Dhoni in the team has helped me to keep things calm. The ball was moving when it was pitched up. In the first game Virat told me this is the time to learn to finish games and that is exactly what I told Hardik today as well. I told him, don't throw it away, bat till the end and let's see how far we can go. I would have been more happy if we won this game, but it is satisfying. Definitely I can do better than this."
Kedar Jadhav is the Man of the Series
Stokes: "It was a difficult time the last time I came down here. Good captaincy from Morgan that he got my overs out of way to ensure that I don't come out at end again (smiles). He's got a safe pair of hands, I was always backing Sam (Billings) to catch that (talking about Jadhav's wicket). It was difficult to start with the bat, the ball was doing its bit. Woakesy played a very good hand towards the end as well and that helpes us make a good total. You get dew in India at this time of the night. We have waited for a long time to get a win here. The Test series didn't go very well, so it's been a long time coming. I think we forgot how it felt (to win) to be honest. It's been fantastic to be a part of the series. Three really tight games and thankfully we managed to get a win."
Ben Stokes is the Man of the Match - what a way to erase those memories of the 2016 World T20 final. Well done sir!
Kohli notched up another fifty in a run chase, but his dismissal stunned the hosts. Yuvraj struggled initially but found his touch and made a vital 45. Dhoni not converting a start put England on top but Kedar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya were determined to fight. With dew making life difficult for bowlers and the sixth wicket stand crossing 100, the pendulum swing India's way, but Eoin Morgan and Co. held their nerve. There was hope when Jadeja found the boundaries and Jadhav scored 10 runs off the first two balls of the final over, but as it turned out, England managed to record their first ODI win at the Eden Gardens.
What a game of cricket. The most notable thing about this ODI for me is the sportiveness of the 22 yards that was in store today. It was not a belter for the batsmen to enjoy and offered enough assistance for the pace bowlers with a bit of grass covering. If one thought 322 was not a big score to chase, especially going by the way things have gone in the series, England proved that it was a very good score on the board. The Indian openers not handling the new ball well put pressure on the rest of the batting unit.
Kohli leads his team out for the customary handshake between the teams. Great to see a smile on Dhoni's face even after seeing Bhuvi missed that ball. India had already pocketed the series in Cuttack. He knows that Jadhav displaying good skills and showing that he can fit into that finisher's role is more important for India than the win itself, for this is their final ODI before the Champions Trophy in June.

Woakes to Bhuvneshwar, no run, that's it! England have finally won a game on the tour. Look at the smile on Morgan's face. Woakes fist pumps in joy and the crowd go silent. They actually don't have to be too disappointed, for it was fabulous entertainment from both the sides. This was a full ball outside off stump, Bhuvneshwar tried to launch over cover, made no contact
This is a big ask from Bhuvi. Didn't face a ball and he has to hit a six to take his side over the line. Can he do it?
Jasprit Bumrah, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Woakes to K Jadhav, out Caught by S Billings at deep extra cover!! in the airrrrrr and it's taken in the deep. Jadhav can't believe that he's hit it to the fielder. This was full and outside off stump, he tried to repeat the shot he hit for six off the first ball of the over, the connection wasn't great and sweeper cover ran forward to complete the catch. Jadhav looks at his gloves as he walks back. Maybe it was too slippery for him. Anyway, what a knock and he gets a standing ovation in the Indian dressing room. Woakes to K Jadhav, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Okay, looks like Jadhav wants to change his bat
Woakes to K Jadhav, no run, what a comeback this is by Woakes. Nails the wide yorker to perfection. Jadhav tries to squeeze it out through backward point and the equation jumps to 6 off 2. Dhoni has a nervous smile on his face
