England had their moments in the ODIs and T20Is, but when it came to crunch situations, it was India who handled the pressure better. The final result being, they go back home without any silverware. Kohli and Co. couldn't have scripted the T20I series better, after losing the first game, they came back strongly to beat England for the first time in the shortest format of the game. That's all from the India-England series. India will be in action in just over a week's time. They take on Bangladesh for the first time at home in Tests. Join us for that game. Till then, goodbye and take care!

Kohli receives the T20 trophy from Sanjay Desai, the interim president of KSCA. Rest of the Indian players join the skipper. They pose for the cameras in front of a board which reads CHAMPION.

Kohli: "Coming back here after a while. It has been a long time since we played the IPL final. I thought this was an occasion which demanded the game to be at our best. Everyone were looking forward to this game. Even after losing all three tosses, we won the series, just like the Test series. We have shown character and that's the reason we won all the three series. It is not a very bad thing to have MS Dhoni behind the stumps and experienced guys like Ashu bhai (Nehra), Yuvi pa. I am new to the limited overs format and I keep taking help. They have played for so long, that helps. To have seniors around helps. A lot of credit goes to them. Yes, that too (Mishra over) and that one over from Jordan to Yuvi. I think that was the momentum changer. We were thinking 175-180, but that's the ability Yuvi has. Having two legspinners bowling on slow dry wickets, we knew we would have our chances. To get six wickets in three overs from those two was brilliant. Credit goes to Chahal, he knows the ground better. I have a lot of faith in him and he plays his cricket with confidence. He is not shy to get hit for a few runs. He has to maintain his originality and the confidence he has in his skill. It is great to have a guy who has so much zeal and so much confidence, it is priceless to have him in the side. He (Dhoni) doesn't have to nudge. I wanted to send him up, but he is the one to say he will bat down the order to give the team more balance. He is been that sort of character, I literally had to tell him we will use him as a floater. He is a champion player and there is no doubt about it. He is a match-winner. Coming to big games, he stepped up like he did in the ODI series. It is a memorable series win for us. When we went to England we lost the Test series. We won the ODI series as well, we only had T20 cricket there. I think we played a good brand of cricket there. We didn't have much experience in the Test side, in the ODIs, apart from the 3-4 guys we are a young side. Going forward we know exactly what we need to do in different formats and that is the biggest positive."

Chahal, Man of the Match and Man of the Series: "I felt nice playing my first match at Bengaluru for India.I feel like home while playing here. I have bowled in the powerplay in the IPL and Virat has the confidence in me and even I have the confidence to bowl in the first six overs. Since it is a small ground, the batsman try to play their shots, I plan according to that. Even Dhoni used to tell me what the batsman is going to play. They played the sweep well and hence I bowled full. Mishy bowled well in the last match as well, looking at him I get the confidence to toss the ball up. I had never dreamt of taking six wickets." He picked up 6 wickets today and 8 in total. Some replacement to Ash and Jaddu.

Morgan: "We consider it as a fatal error losing two in batsmen, especially when we were going so well and it really hurt us. And for Chahal to produce such a spell, credit should be given where it is due. India put up a match-winning performance today. A performance worthy of winning the series. Congratulations to the Indian team. The backend of the ten overs when we batted we weren't at the races. In hindsight, myself or Joe should have gone on to produce a match-winning innings. Beautiful wicket to bat on, very small boundary and we probably would have taken 190-200 at the beginning. We bowled well and were in the game at the halfway stage. We take a lot of things. The biggest thing is our bowling. The improvement we have shown from the ODIs to T20Is, it is showing. We showed significant improvement in our bowling department and we have learnt more on bowling on flatter wickets. We chased down 150 in the first game and won by 7 wickets in a convincing manner. Tonight's batting performance has been our worst in a couple of years. Disappointed that we didn't put in a good enough performance."

Coming to England's batting display, the less said about the latter half the better. Billings didn't bother to open his account and the pair of Roy and Root steadied the innings with a 47-run stand. There was another handy partnership between the skipper and his subordinate, but once Morgan fell, it was some mind-numbing batting from the visitors. No one was ready to bat the 20 overs and seemed like in a hurry to catch the plane back home.

Credit must be given to the Indian bowlers. The ground at Bangalore is not the easiest for the bowlers. Sometimes even 200 is not defendable, what with the dew around today. Kohli was seen wiping the ball at every opportunity and he rotated his bowlers around. Apart from that Raina over, all his moves came off today. Chahal too read the conditions well and mixed it up smartly. He had to as he plays two months of his cricket here and we cannot forget Mishra's contribution, it was his last over that triggered the collapse. Overall, it was a near perfect T20 performance by the home side - runs on the board, big total set and the bowlers bowling to their field.

The England team come out to shake hands with the victorious Indian side. Chahal with jersey number 6 and 6 wickets in the game leads the home side out of the field. Yuvraj lifted Chahal like a baby after he claimed his fifth wicket. A happy Indian unit out there at the Chinnaswamy. But, hang on! What happened in the last 20 minutes? Need to catch a breath to summarize the collapse. England seemed to be in the game with Root and Morgan well set, they needed 89 runs in 8 overs with 8 wickets in hand. On most days, you should fancy the chasing side, especially at this venue. A tight 13th over from Mishra followed by a two-wicket over from Chahal just tilted the game in India's favour. The visitors could not recover after that as they lost their last 8 wickets for 8 runs in a span of 19 balls.

Bumrah to Tymal Mills, out Caught by Kohli!! All over! India win by 75 runs and they take the series 2-1. Fittingly, it is the Indian skipper who takes the catch. First series as T20I captain and he has won it. Things can't get more rosy than that. He congratulates every member of his team. Full and on middle, Mills goes hard on the drive and the outside edge flies to the wide slip fielder, Kohli shows sharp reflexes to hold on. Tymal Mills c Kohli b Bumrah 0(2)

Bumrah to Plunkett, out Bowled!! "Ridiculous batting by England," sums up Nasser Hussain on air. From 119/2 they have slipped to 127/9. Seven wickets for eight runs - that is unheard of. Nothing but a back of a length delivery that is angled, Plunkett steps out to have a swipe at that, beaten for pace and the off-stump takes a beating. Plunkett b Bumrah 0(1)

Chahal to Jordan, out Stumped!! Make it six for Chahal. What a night he's having. Has certainly won India the game. Well flighted delivery outside off, bit of turn and Jordan swings blindly after rushing down the wicket. Easiest of stumpings for Dhoni. Chahal is delighted, is seen celebrating by pumping his fist. It has been some homecoming for the RCB leggie. Jordan st Dhoni b Chahal 0(2)

Chahal to Stokes, out Caught by Raina!! Five-fer for Chahal. He is the first Indian to get a 5-wicket haul in T20Is. He has deserved it. Varied his pace and length beautifully tonight. Googly which was on the shorter length, Stokes rocks back and pulls it high towards deep mid-wicket. Raina settles himself near the rope and takes it well over his head. Loses his balance for a bit, but ensures that he doesn't touch the boundary cushion. The third umpire has a couple of looks and gives Stokes the marching orders. Stokes c Raina b Chahal 6(7) [4s-1]
