Stokes at the post-match presentation was bullish and all bravado as he still says England will try and win the series. Knowing Stokes, that talk will be backed up by action, not least from the man himself. But it is advantage India at the moment. And with KL Rahul most likely coming back for that game in Ranchi, India will only get stronger. What sort of a pitch will we get there? So far all three pitches in this series have not been raging turners or minefields. So all eyes shift to Ranchi in four days' time. On that note we end our coverage. This is Anurag Hedge signing off on behalf of our scorer Venkatesh AV. There's a lot of analysis, insight and other stuff on this platform. Do check them out. Till next time, take care and be well. See you soon.

Ravindra Jadeja | Player of the Match: I was just looking to build partnerships with Rohit, we were in a difficult situation, look to back my strengths, play my shots, not try and be more conscious. Watch the ball and play the ball. I know about this wicket, if we bat first, it is always good to bat on, in the second half it starts spinning, when Rohit won the toss, we were thinking: this is all what we wanted, bat first, bowl second. On this wicket you won't get easy wickets, you have to work hard for it. You need to throw balls in good areas, you have to earn your wickets.

Rohit Sharma | India captain: [on his message after day 2] When you are playing Test cricket, it is not played over 2-3 days. We do understand the importance of playing over 5 days. They played well and put us under pressure. We have got class in our bowling, the message was to stay calm and I'm really proud of how we came back the next day. When those things happen, it's a delight. [on Jadeja at 5] For this game, we thought he has got so much experience and has got a lot of runs as well, we wanted that left-right combo, Sarfaraz with the quality he has got, we wanted him to have time. We saw what he can do with the bat. [on the batting order] It's not a long-term view, we go with the flow and what we feel on that particular day, looking at the opposition, the bowling attack. We calculate everything and then go with the flow. Lots of turning points, was a good toss to win, we know how important in India it is to win the toss, the way we came back and bowled after that onslaught. The bowlers showed a lot of character, not to forget we did not have our most experienced bowler as well. With the bat we knew the job was half-done, those two youngsters got us the lead we wanted and obviously Jadeja with the ball in the 2nd innings was superb. [on Jaiswal] I have spoken a  lot about him, in Vizag as well, people outside the changeroom have spoken as well. I don't want to talk too much about him, he has started his career on a high, I want him to continue doing well, yeah looks a good player.

Ben Stokes | England captain: Ben Duckett played an unbelievable innings. That was the tone we wanted to set throughout the innings. It was about identifying that opportunity and getting as close to India's total. We wanted to bowl yesterday but it was earlier than when we wanted. Sometimes gameplans don't work and that was the case. Everyone's got a perception and opinion about things, the people in the dressing room is what matters to us. 1-2 down in the series and a great opportunity for us to come back and win the series. We leave this game behind and we know we have to win the next 2 games to win the series and that's what we'll look to do.

Yashasvi Jaiswal: I’m just trying to make it big whenever I’m set. In Test cricket you never know, I try to make sure I play as long as I can when I’m set. It was pretty difficult, initially I was not getting runs so I had to play the session and play the bowler. Then when I got set I could score the runs. I had my plans about where I could play my shots and get runs. After some time, my back was not good. I didn’t want to go out but I had to go out because it was too much. When I came back I tried to give myself time and take it as deep as I can. I knew that if I was there I would take the game forward and be there till the end. (On taking it slow initially) I was feeling there was something in the wicket and the ball was very hard, I knew it was important for me to give the team a very good start, as we have seen it has a huge impact on the team. I feel like whenever I am set I need to make it big. As all my seniors have said, when you are set, make it big and make it count. The way Rohit (Sharma) bhai and Jaddu (Jadeja) bhai played in the first innings really inspired me. The way they played session by session was incredible, the way they put effort motivated all of us.

So from 1-0 up, England are now 1-2 down. They will be looking at their batting on day 3 and wonder how they let slip such a golden opportunity. Root reverse-scooped and fell, Duckett got out to a short and wide ball and Stokes slogged and got out. That's where the game was lost. From a position where they could have dictated the game, they handed the advantage to India on a platter and rarely does an Indian side at home let go of such gifts. Jaiswal was sedate to start off but once he got in, he made it count. Despite Ashwin not making a big contribution, India have won easily and that should be such a big tick for them as they go to Ranchi. Also they will be happy with their debutants Sarfaraz and Dhruv Jurel who both impressed. England meanwhile have a lot of thinking to do, on a flat pitch where a draw was a real possibility had they applied themselves better, they squandered it by poor batting and thinking exemplified by Duckett's run-out today. Now a real task awaits them to not lose this series. Stay tuned for the presentation...

At the start of the game, India were in trouble at 33/3 but were bailed out by Jadeja and Rohit. Jadeja was promoted to 5 and he made a fine 100. His stand of 204 with the skipper rescued India and they posted 445. In reply England were in a great state after day 2 as Duckett tore India apart with a scintillating hundred. The day got even better for them when Ashwin was ruled out. But come day 3, India rose to the occasion with Bumrah and Kuldeep leading the way and then Siraj bowled terrifically to take a four-fer. A lead of 126 was always going to be significant come the final innings and even though the pitch stayed true, England crumbled.

16:49 Local Time, 11:19 GMT, 16:49 IST: Rohit hugs Sarfaraz while Jadeja kisses the ball. India's biggest-ever win in terms of runs in their 577-Test history. Who would have envisaged that after day 2! The last two days have all been India's. They have come up trumps after losing Ashwin due to a family emergency. England have been blown away today. The relentless pressure of the runs on board has played on England who have collapsed to 122 in this fourth innings. Most of them expected the game to go into the final day but such was India's dominance they have ended it on day 4 without even the need of the extra half-hour. Earlier Jaiswal came back to make a fine double-ton after retiring hurt yesterday with back spasms. Gill was unlucky not to get an 100 while Sarfaraz made fifties in both innings.
