Blimey! One heck of a game that. Thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Not quite the run-feast, but it had all the ingredients of a heart-stopper and kept us glued throughout the game. Guess, that should be it from Wellington. Williamson continues to push boundaries, Santner continues to grow under his wings...and England make it a habit of winning games under Eoin Morgan. With those customary trends floating on your moblie screens and memories, we [Raju Peethala in the company of Pradeep, Varun Dixit and Siva] bid goodbye. Enjoy your weekend guys and girls. Cheers!!
Eoin Morgan, England skipper - Brilliant game of cricket again. It is good to see fans turnout today and support the home team. We couldn't find the middle of the bat, it was very hard to start on this wicket.I thought if we play well we might get 250, but somewhere in the range of 220-230 was a decent total. Williamson played an amazing innings. Our spin twins did a brilliant job on the pitch that was helping them. Partnership between Santner and Williamson put us on the back foot. 230 was an entertaing game today. When there is something on offer for everyone, it rejuvenates the energy of players. Our bowlers did a great job in the end. Chris Woakes has been there many many times. I was reasonably confident going into the final over. Woakes defended 13 in the final over against Dhoni in a T20 game. He is a guy who is very successful for us. He is a bit of an unsung hero with the bat and ball and certainly today he came out trumps.
Williamson, New Zealand skipper: Very frustrating. Credit to England. They played really well and deserved to win. We were in a position of strength after 15 overs or so, but stumbled in the middle which really hit us and we had to take even deeper and just a shame not to get across the line. We chose to bowl because it's easier to adjust with the ball than with the bat. The bowling unit did a very good job. It was a competitive total at the halfway stage. We started off well, just couldn't get through the middle. Mitch Santner came in and batted beautifully. To get a bit of momentum and take the game deep he was crucial. Hitting was difficult on that wicket. The wicket kept changing and we had to adjust according to our plans. The way English spinners bowled was brilliant throughout that middle period. Didn't offer us too much to play our strokes. When we did lose a couple of wickets it meant we couldn't play as positively as we would have liked. They deserved to win tonight and just a shame we got so close and couldn't get past the line. The slower balls are always effective on that sort of surface. It was a game where we didn't fire. We weren't smart enough. We didn't adjust well on a tough surface. Ross could be fit and hopefully Tom and Nicholls will step up in the next game.
Moeen Ali, Man of the Match: It was a brilliant game. Fantastic last few overs for us. We felt we were a few runs short but it was a very tough wicket. It was a good wicket for the spinners to bowl, I just tried to bowl in good areas and build the pressure and hopefully get the wickets. It was a good day for us.
21:40 local: Williamson walks back gutted. Keeps rubbing his eyes as Sodhi tries to console with a pat on the back. Chris Woakes pumps his fists while the rest of his mates rally around to celebrate this thrilling victory. Oh, cricket - you freaky lil' bonzer. Well, a quick gander at the scorecard might make you think that Williamson dragged this too far, but don't get fooled by the numbers. If not for him, New Zealand wouldn't have gotten as close as they did. At 80/1, they looked on course to achieve the target, but Munro's dismissal triggered a dramatic collapse, losing the next five wickets for 23 runs and slumping to 103/6. At that stage, Santner joined his skipper and the duo resurrected the chase only to fall tantalizingly short.

Woakes to Williamson, no run, wide yorker and Williamson can't lay bat on ball. England win. They now lead the series 2-1. Williamson got too far across anticipating a slower delivery, but Woakes keeps his calm and delivers a pinpoint yorker in the channel, by the time KW got his bat down it was already past him
5 from the last ball. Can Williamson do it? The crowd go bonkers
Woakes to Williamson, no run, full toss, slammed straight to mid-off, falls just short of Root and Ish Sodhi has been sent back
Woakes to Williamson, 2 runs, smart smart batting from New Zealand. Williamson works this slower ball into the mid-wicket region and calls for two immediately. Sodhi responds. Throw at the striker's end and Williamson's home
Morgan has a word with Woakes. Third man has gone back
Woakes to Williamson, SIX, smoked that! Enough of slower ball saga, Williamson sets himself inside the crease and murders this slower ball over mid-wicket
Woakes to Williamson, 2 runs, bowls it further wide, Williamson keeps shuffling and laps the paddle past backward square. Deep square runs across and keeps it down to a couple
Woakes to Williamson, no run, shuffles way outside his off-stump and gets defeated for lack of pace. Clever bowling from Woakes who second read Williamson's intentions and sprayed it wide of his reach
Need 15, balls left 6. Woakes, Morgan and Buttler join for a breif chat

Tom Curran to Williamson, no run, back of the hand slower delivery, far of off-stump, Williamson swings and misses. Nerves..nerves..nerves...
Tom Curran to Williamson, no run, slower delivery, Williamson's early into the flick, hits high on the bat and restrains the timing on that shot

Tom Curran to Williamson, 1 run, deep inside the crease, happy to guide a single to third man
