Match drawn: Joe Root scores a century for England and leads from front once again, though it's a practice match. Mark Stoneman and Dawid Malan were the two other English batsmen who got a hang of things. It would be interesting to see how they perform in the actual Test that starts next week, especially the Kiwi swing kings - Trent Boult and Tim Southee.
Day 1: Stumps - Technically New Zealand are 287/13 (looks bizarre but true) due to the rules of this 2-day practice match which gives a day apiece for each side to bat. Therefore, the teams have unlimited wickets and a dismissed batsman also can bat again.
