After a 3-1 result in the favour of the visitors in the Tests, we witnessed a competitive ODI series which has ended in a 1-1 deadlock. Over to the most 'relevant' format of the year, next. The big guns will be back for England and Steyn Gun returns for the Proteas. The 3-match T20I series promises to be a cracking one. Catch us on Wednesday for the first game from Buffalo Park. Until then, it's goodbye from Abhinand Raghavendran, Raju Peethala, Akshay Maanay and Praveen.
Quinton de Kock is the Player of the Series. The South African skipper scored 187 run in the series (107, 11 and 69).
Adil Rashid is the Player of the Match. The leg-spinner, in his 100th ODI, scalped three wickets (3/51) which also included the prized scalp of de Kock.

17:48 Local Time, 15:48 GMT, 21:18 IST: The World Champions scrape through in what should have been a straightforward chase and level the series (1-1). After a brisk start provided by the openers (61 runs in 6 overs), England lost three wickets in quick succession. Root and Denly steadied the ship with a 76-run stand for the fourth wicket. Root, though, fell one run shy of his fifty. Post that, Denly was involved in another half-ton partnership with Banton. However, the former after notching up his half-century, perished while trying to finish the game quickly. That resulted in a mini-collapse - 232/4 to 252/8. Moeen Ali remained calm with all the happenings at the other end and took his team over the finishing line. Earlier in the day, England did well to restrict the home team to a below par score - thanks to the spin twins who were brought into the playing XI for this final ODI. Ravi Bopara summed it up nicely in his tweet - "Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid are the backbone of Englands ODI bowling."

Sipamla to Moeen Ali, FOUR, 136kph, fullish ball, Moeen Ali plays an uppish drive and beats the diving short cover fielder to his right. Races away to the fence

May have closed his bat-face a bit too early and gets an outside nick. A straightforward grab for the South African skipper. Rashid stares at the pitch before walking off.
