As mentioned earlier, year 2018 might have been a fantastic year for England but their 2019 has had an exactly opposite beginning. The visitors were demolised by Holder and company and they'll be looking forward to bounce back in the remaining two Tests. Meanwhile, Windies are riding high on confidence and hopefully they replicate this performance in the next match too. They have their opening woes sorted with the arrival of John Campbell and their pace quartet is a fascinating one. So good to see 'em fire as a unit. Anyways, it was pleasure bringing you the coverage of this riveting Test match. For now, this is Nikhil Jadhav signing off on behalf of Raju Peethala and Venky. Ciao!

Jason Holder, winning skipper and MoM: A really good match for me personally. The Test series against Bangladesh was very tough, we have worked very hard in the last two months and good to see the result. I had a moment there to express myself a bit. Roston Chase today was patient and got the ball in the right areas. I just want to thank my mom and dad, they're my biggest supporters. Also, my two brothers. Still got a long way to go, we got two more Tests to play. Consistency is the key, we've been in this position earlier and there's a lot of hard work to be done. We ticked a few boxes in this Test and we need to repeat the same in Antigua too.

Joe Root, losing skipper Disappointed the way we played this week. We still got two important games and it is crucial that we bounce back very quickly and strongly. We have been in this situation before and we have shown great character to comeback strong. Hopefully we can do that again. After a Test match its very easy to make selections. The way the game panned out the four days, we could have gone down a different route in selections, but we are a far better team than we what we've played this week. We gotta take responsibility for the loss, making sure we come back hard and be absolutely ready for everything that's gonna thrown our way for the rest of the series. Fair play to them, they played extremely good cricket over the four days. They (Windies) deserve a lot of credit for the way they played.. We've got to make sure we're a far better team, continue the hard work and go about things on the field as we have done in practice. Guys have worked extremely hard coming into this game and we have to continue what we have been doing.

As comprehensive a victory as it can get - has to be one of the finest performances by Windies in recent times. They knocked out England for 77 on Day 2 and the double century by Holder snatched the match away from the visitors. Day 3 went wicketless but Chase came to the party and bagged 8 wickets today - his career best figures to bundle out the opposition. Windies players are having a victory lap and thanking the crowd who came out in numbers to support them. When a number 8 ranked team beats the number 3 ranked team, that's called real Test cricket. Windies needed something of this sort to revive their Test cricket and this dominant performance will surely be an inspiration for the youngsters of this generation, back in the Caribbean islands. The five-wicket haul by Kemar Roach on day 2, the double century by Holder on day 3 and the 8-wicket haul by Chase today - got to be the three stand out performances of this Windies victory. A win, that will be remembered and cherished for a long, long time. Hang on for the presentations...

Roston Chase to Sam Curran, out Stumped!! Game over! Windies hammer England by 381 runs and go 1-0 up in the series. Curran was down the wicket to play this but Chase cleverly slips this one down the leg side. Hope is quick to grab it as he takes down the bails in a flash. Chase ends with 8 for 60. Champion performance by the champions of Caribbean. Sam Curran st Shai Hope b Roston Chase 17(25) [4s-3]

John Campbell to Anderson, no run, Windies review: They'll have to check it for a catch and an lbw too. Doesn't look there's any bat involved as Anderson missed his reverse sweep but the ball was dipping into the batsman and struck his boot on the full. Might well be an lbw dismissal this. Nothing on UltraEdge. The impact was over 2.5m but the ball was going on to hit the stumps. As per the rules, it's umpire's call and that's not out
