An entertaining game in the end. The result for most parts was a foregone conclusion but the way Hosein finished things, you wonder what could have been. Anyway, England were the better side in those crucial moments and the series is now level 1-1 with three games left. Given the volatile nature of both sides, anything can happen in the remaining matches. Let's hope we get more fun and entertainment like today. On that note, this is Hari Sadanandan signing off on behalf of Pradeep Krishnamurthy and Praveen Kumar. Cheers!!
Eoin Morgan: Delighted! Even in the last quarter of the game, with an inexperienced international bowler, I thought we did well. With experience, he (Mahmood) will get better. I thought we adapted better to the conditions today. The tracks here aren't those where you can get a fluid tempo to the innings. It was a conscious idea (for the batters to spend some time in the middle). Every team in the world is trying to get better at it (death bowling). It's the hardest job in world cricket. At the end, the ball did skid on. We need to find better ways to execute. Majority of our plans today was to bowl yorkers, we just got it wrong.
Kieron Pollard: If you lose early wickets, you tend to struggle. But the way the guys fought at the end, tremendous. Akeal batted really well at the end, spare a word for Shepherd. He's really taken some responsibility. It has (being unable to negate spinners) but we will find a way. We will have games like this but the guys will get through. Yeah, those (dropped catches) really count, we lost by one run today, so yeah, those do cost. But having said that, we finished well. It was a good game of cricket and hopefully, the fans enjoyed it.
Moeen Ali | Player of the Match: He (Roy) was going well, I was just hanging on and trying to pick my areas. Was a tough surface to be honest. We thought we got a really good score. We just wanted to give us a few deliveries early on. Then with the ball, we started well. It's a great wicket to bowl on. I thought me and Rash bowled well in those middle overs. I thought he (Rashid) read the surface really well.
19:35 Local Time, 23:35 GMT, 05:05 IST: Hosein is on his haunches, disappointed but he can be proud of this fight. That's one crazy finish if there ever was one. At 65/7, West Indies were down for the count. At 98/8 when Allen fell after a few shots, only formalities remained. 29 balls remained at the stage and West Indies needed 74. Nobody would have expected the game to even get close, let alone the Windies getting within a run of England's score. Shepherd showed some unreal ball-striking skills, and Hosein joined in late on, the left-hander showing surprisingly good balance in his powerhitting. With 30 needed off the last over, Hosein smashed three sixes and two fours off Mahmood to make it one of those memorable finishes even though the chasing side didn't win. If only their specialist batters had showed the same fight. Credit to England though, Topley in particular bowled a fine new ball spell. In the end, the visitors just about held on.

Saqib Mahmood to Akeal Hosein, SIX, England win by a solitary run! If only that wide was given, or if one more hit had got a single. Well, Mahmood has got a real beating here. Another slot ball, Hosein stays still and blasts it over long-off. Unreal stuff this!
Saqib Mahmood to Akeal Hosein, SIX, another huge hit! Mahmood is being taken apart here by Hosein. The batter simply knows what's coming and is tearing into the bowler. Mahmood misses the yorker, in the slot and Hosein clouts it over wide long-on with that lovely bat swing
Saqib Mahmood to Akeal Hosein, SIX, belted away! Whoa, WI are getting very close but obviously, there aren't enough deliveries left. Extraordinary powerhitting from these two. Hosein again, stands tall to the hard length and smokes it over the leaping cow corner fielder
Saqib Mahmood to Akeal Hosein, wide, Mahmood is feeling the pressure, even though England have almost pocketed this game. Sprays this well wide outside off
Saqib Mahmood to Akeal Hosein, FOUR, another superb hit! Once again Hosein shuffles slightly, gets another slot ball and he goes straight down the ground this time. Almost went all the way
Saqib Mahmood to Akeal Hosein, FOUR, clubbed away! Expects the wide line and shuffles across to negate that, it's almost in the arc and he heaves it away. Bisects deep mid-wicket and long-on
Saqib Mahmood to Akeal Hosein, no run, should have been another wide but the ump bizarrely doesn't give it. Hosein isn't amused at all. Was shortish and well wide outside off, beyond the tramline
Saqib Mahmood to Akeal Hosein, wide, looks to keep it wide of the left-hander and gets it a bit too wide
Saqib Mahmood [3.0-0-17-0] is back into the attack

Topley to Shepherd, FOUR, off-balance, one hand off the bat but Shepherd still manage to slice this away through point, beating the sweeper fielder to his right
Topley to Akeal Hosein, 1 run, very full and follows Hosein who can only squeeze it out to deep point
Topley to Akeal Hosein, no run, beaten! Shortish and outside off, extra bounce and Hosein has a poke at it. Beaten on the outside edge
Morgan has a chat with Topley about the field to the left-hander.
Topley to Shepherd, 1 run, shortens the length this time, another slower ball, Shepherd mistimes the heave down to long-on
Topley to Shepherd, 2 runs, very full and wide, another slog attempt, this time Shepherd gets a big slice over backward point. A couple more
