PLAYER OF THE MATCH : Joshua Da Silva

An astounding win for West Indies as they pop a champagne and have some fun among themselves after collecting the trophy. The bowlers of both these teams toiled in the first two Tests, but the pacers had a pretty good outing in Grenada. All the pacers will be happy if they get such pitches more often than not. There were a few significant performances from the England batters over the series, but they need to show consistency moving forward. It was pleasure bringing you the coverage of this Test match over the last four days. You can switch tabs and follow our live coverage of the ongoing IPL contest between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings. Ciao!
Joe Root: It has been a frustrating Test match, we showed a lot of fire in the first innings and were still in the game. Yesterday was a very frustrating day, it was a really important day in the series, but we couldn't manage it well, like we did in the first two games where we showed a lot of promise. We took a few strides forward in the first two games, but credit to the West Indies for this match. We didn't read the surface as well as we could. We had a similar situation in the first Test match in the first innings, but we couldn't get grips with it this week. There's still a lot of learning that needs to be done, we need to keep working hard, because that's not going to happen overnight. The most important thing is to make improvements moving forward, there are still some good things to be taken from this series. Jack Leach has been exceptional. Lawrence showed a lot of promise, which is very exciting and those are encouraging signs. I think we have learnt a lot as a group, the most important thing is to keep that attitude. We need to keep approaching things like we have done, that's the key. I think I made it clear that I am passionate about this team, that has not changed. We are so lucky to get the support that we do (wherever we go).
Kraigg Brathwaite: I feel fantastic. Feel even better that we have won. Want to thank the fans for coming in here at the Grenada stadium, that's very pleasing. Main thing was working on my balance, more on my top hand work. Been working on it for the last two years. A total team effort, it is a total team effort. I must commend all of my team-mates. Bonner and Jason in the first Test, Blackwood in the next Test and then Roach. Alzarri bowled those short balls yesterday. The effort from the guys was remarkable. To see how Joshua batted (with the lower order batters), they played well. When you have guys like Holder and Roach, it's a great thing. I think we learnt a lot from this series. It's really a remarkable day, to see the attitude, we need to keep doing it. Need to continue doing it and not take anything for granted. Guys got to stay hungry, staying hungry is the key. The fans supported us on all four days, that was really amazing. Glad we came out on top, it was a remarkable series. The first two games going into day 5, it was a top series.
Da Silva: Not at all, I have dream of it. To get one of this. Hopefully it is not the last and more to come. Trust them (the bowlers), as much as I can. They stick with me all the way till the end and they all (Roach, Alzarri) did a fantastic job. They are why I have this. I did my part and I tried my best. It was quite challenging (keeping), I hold myself to high standards. It was a poor series with the gloves for me, I gave a lot of byes which is very unlike me. It was a decent series, but I can keep improving. It's Test cricket, you could always do better in all aspects of the game, hopefully it keeps coming.
Joshua Da Silva is the Player of the Match while Kraigg Braithwaite is the Player of the Series.
For West Indies, this is another tick in the improvements section even though at home, they are quite a resilient outfit in the longer format. Well-led by Brathwaite with a good mixture of young and old, they have kept their hold on England at home. What an impact Kyle Mayers made in this game after being dropped for the first two. Throughout the series, they found a way to unearth saviours for the occasion and it was a total team effort which is a good sign for West Indies cricket as they have often been too reliant on one or two main individuals carrying the team. They will be happy and content. Do stay tuned for the presentation...
Joshua Da Silva the hero of the game for the West Indies with the bat, takes out three stumps as souvenirs. He gives one each to Seales and Bonner. One he will keep. The West Indies players are now doing a walk of the ground. Taking the crowd's encouragement and thanking them for their efforts. England's jinx of not winning a Test series in the Caribbean continues - now they have not won there since 2004/05. Joe Root is having a chat with stand-in coach Paul Collingwood as I type this and is that the last we see of him as an England captain? With bruising defeats in Australia and here, won't be surprised if he gives up the captaincy. More questions for England and the shrill cries will only get louder especially after the eyebrows raised post the dropping of Broad and Anderson for this series.
11:30 Local Time, 15:30 GMT, 21:00 IST: An emphatic win for West Indies who have won the Richards-Botham Trophy by 10 wickets! What a clinical performance by Brathwaite and his boys. After the first two Tests were drawn due to the slow and low wickets, the pitch prepared for the third Test proved to be quite a spicy one. England struggled in both the innings as the top order and middle order batters could hardly contribute anything. Had it not been for that partnership between Mahmood and Leach on Day 1, this Test might have gotten over a lot earlier. Even the West Indies batters struggled on day 2, however, as a result of the ton by Joshua Da Silva and contributions from the lower order batters, the hosts gained a big lead of 93 runs. Mayers singlehandedly destroyed England's batting line-up in the second innings to bundle out the visiting team for 120. And the West Indies openers chased down 28 without much of a hassle.
Woakes to Kraigg Brathwaite, 2 runs, fittingly Kraigg Brathwaite finishes things off. Even before he completes the 2nd, he has the right hand up in the air and celebrating. Tucked wide of mid-on and before Saqib could throw it back to Foakes, Kraigg Brathwaite and John Campbell are in. They celebrate even as the dressing room erupts
Woakes to Kraigg Brathwaite, no run, full on off, driven to mid-off, sharp stop as that was driven hard
Woakes to Kraigg Brathwaite, no run, good length on off, stays a touch low, defended to mid-off
Woakes to Kraigg Brathwaite, FOUR, that punchy drive from Kraigg Brathwaite with lots of bottom-hand. Full outswinger, outside off, he reaches out and uses the wrists to drive wide of mid-off, raced away
Woakes to John Campbell, byes, 1 run, down leg and Foakes does well to prevent it from running away with a dive down to his right, but still they take a run

Saqib Mahmood to Kraigg Brathwaite, no run, poor shot as he goes after that full and wide delivery outside off, slashes and misses. Maybe he wants to end this quickly
Saqib Mahmood to Kraigg Brathwaite, no run, full on off, Kraigg Brathwaite gets forward to drive to mid-off
Saqib Mahmood to Kraigg Brathwaite, FOUR, the square cut now. Stands on top of the bounce and cuts the back of a length delivery outside off wide of point. The target down to single figures. The crowd love it
Saqib Mahmood to Kraigg Brathwaite, FOUR, can't bowl there at all. Full on the pads, scrambled-seam delivery but easy for Kraigg Brathwaite as he flicks through square leg for a boundary
