Bangladesh still need England to beat Australia to go through to the semis, and wouldn't that be something. Gosh, I'm spent. Bangladesh don't just make up the numbers anymore, Bangladesh belong. Hope you've been witness to what has been something extremely special. That's it from me. I've been Sagar Chawla bringing you the action along with Vineet Anantharaman and Abhinand Raghavendran, and our scorer Venky. Raise a toast to Bangladesh. Good night!

STATS ROUND UP - courtesy Deepu Narayanan

- Shakib Al Hasan and Mashrafe Mortaza became the highest capped ODI cricketers for Bangladesh eclipsing Mohammad Ashraful's 175 games. Rahim also played his 175th ODI.

- Kane Williamson became the first player to score fifty or more in four successive innings in CT with his scores reading 67, 100, 87 and 57.

- 3/13 by Mosaddek Hossain is the best ever figures for a Bangladesh bowler in CT history.

- 224-run stand between Shakib & Mahmudullah:
+ Highest stand for BAN for any wicket in all ODIs.
+ Highest fifth wicket stand in CT and second highest for any wicket.
+ Third highest fifth wicket stand in all ODIs.

- It was only the second time two Bangladesh batsmen scored hundreds in the same ODI innings. Previous was by Tamim & Rahim against Pakistan in Mirpur in 2015.

- For the first time in 25 ICC tournaments (WC, WT20 and CT), New Zealand end a series without a single win.

- Bangladesh in Cardiff:
+ 18 Jun 2005: Beat AUS by five wickets.
+ 09 Jun 2017: Beat NZ by five wickets.

Williamson: To be fair, on that surface we felt it was a scrappy total to get. If we bowled well, we could make it difficult. The boys were outstanding with the new ball. But we left a few runs out there. Long way from a perfect performance today. Credit to the way Bangladesh played. That partnership from Shakib and Mahmudullah was simply superb. Something around 285-290 would have been very competitive. Fairly similar surface to the previous game we played on, even though it was a new one.

Mortaza: It's a great feeling. Both times I've been here (talking about the wins in Cardiff). First, against Australia. And now New Zealand. Overall we are very much satisfied. If you take the first match, we weren't up to the mark. 305 we couldn't stop. But today bowlers hit the right area. We got wickets in patches. The three overs from Mosaddek were very crucial. The thinking was that he had got Neesham and Corey out previously and they had to hit in the bigger side. Once those left-handers came in, it was the obvious decision for me. The way Shakib and Mahmudullah played, it was out of the world. We knew it was going to be difficult, but we got confidence from when we beat them in Ireland. We knew this can happen. We just have to play hard and never give up. We feel great right now.

Jubilation in the Bangladesh camp, as you'd expect. They even did a lap of honour to thank their supporters who have made their presence felt. Presentations coming up...

Harsha Bhogle: The Champions Trophy was asleep three days ago. It has woken up to a lovely morning.

Shakib, Man of the Match: As Mahmudullah said, we did not talk much. We just said 'keep going'. We did not think of the target and just wanted to bat 40 overs and see where we were. The good thing was that we handled the swinging ball well and when there were balls to hit, we hit them. Winning a match in an ICC tournament is a big thing and we have come a long way in the last two years. From here on we can only go forward.

Mahmudullah: The best part was that we did not talk too much. We were just batting and enjoying each other's company out in the middle. It was a struggle in the earlier part where we stayed calm when the ball was swinging. Once it stopped it became easier and credit to Shakib for the way he batted. Tamim batted superbly in this tournament. He got a hundred and almost a hundred against Australia. Losing him early on was quite a shock but Shakib and I had a good partnership. We were just looking for bad balls and kept hitting them away and keep looking for gaps to take singles.

Bangladesh must have been delighted after restricting New Zealand to 265, only to find themselves struggling to get bat on ball early in the chase. But once the pitch eased off and the pair of Shakib and Mahmudullah got in, not for a moment did they look like getting out. The partnership kept going on and on, breaking records and leaving New Zealand hapless. Santner, who bowled beautifully, looked like the only threat with the old ball. But they played him out smartly. It's one thing to say that the pitch eased off, but to absorb the pressure after losing four wickets for next to nothing and score a hundred each, that's just unbelievable. Cardiff and Bangladesh, what a love story!

Harsha Bhogle: There was a time when teams used to go to Bangladesh and wish the home team batted first so the game got over early. What a transformation!

19:30 Local Time, 18:30 GMT, 00:00 IST: Go Bangladesh, run away into the streets and scream into the neighbourhood while twirling your shirts overhead. There's no other way to celebrate what has just happened. My word, what a win. There are days where whatever adjective you use to describe an event, it is rendered absolutely useless. This is one such day. From being dead and buried against the rampaging Southee who crippled them to 33/4, Bangladesh have walked the run-chase of 266. If that doesn't tell you what kind of crazy, beautiful game this was, nothing will. Shakib and Mahmudullah, you freaking beasts!

Harsha Bhogle: So Mahmudullah centuries the common factor in the two finest Bangladesh wins. Top player.

Boult to Mahmudullah, FOUR, now a hundred from Mahmudullah. Like Shakib, he gets there with a pull shot as well. Only that he has middled this, unlike Shakib who got a thick top-edge. Short into the body, Mahmudullah pulls off the front foot to the long leg boundary. He is ecstatic. Kisses the turf. Points to his bat. It's his day. It's Bangladesh's day

Boult to Shakib, out Bowled!! Gone. Full and straight from Boult, Shakib wants to whack it into the leg-side but he loses his shape and the ball crashes into off and middle. What a knock though! What a knock. He's applauded on the way back by the New Zealand players. Shakib b Boult 114(115) [4s-11 6s-1]

Boult to Shakib, FOUR, Shakib wants to finish it off. Hasn't he timed that or what?! Absolutely rockets off his bat. Backs away, Boult follows him to deny the room but instead, he's been smoked back straight of mid-on. Shakib didn't even swing hard, just punched it with a lot of bottom hand
