We had an entertaining game. The sort of games that we'd love to see as cricket lovers. Something in it for every one. Collapses, gusty batting, power-hitting, blunders, incredible bowling, umpiring errors... we saw it all. West Indies' energy was good to see, although they would have wanted to show more maturity under pressure. Australia showed what belief and determination can do in general, let alone win cricket games. The World Cup carnival moves to Bristol now. Sri Lanka and Pakistan are waiting to show their skills tomorrow. But do your bit to keep the rain away, because there's a whole lot expected. Hope your tummies are happy and do catch some nice sleep. See you all tomorrow with a lot of energy. Tata!

Aaron Finch: We just kept hanging in there. From 4 for 30 odd to be able to fightback and then a partnership between Smith and Carey to get us deeper. And that innings of Coulter-Nile was exceptional. We always thought he had the ability and today he got the opportunity to bat longer. Even with the bowl we hung in there. Really proud of the guys. Absolutely, I was nervous when they were coming hard at us at 30/4. We kept fighting back, we kept taking wickets which was crucial. You have to keep taking wickets against West Indies since they are so destructive. Our top-order was disappointing, few poor shots. And with the bowl, we have few areas to improve. I thought some of the short balls weren't high enough. To still come out with 2 points, with a lot of improvement to do, is a real positive for us.

Jason Holder: Ya, obviously we are disappointed. Few irresponsible shots. We had to stick it around a little bit more. Still lot of positives came out of this match. We dropped Coulter-Nile when he was 60 odd and he ended up getting another 30-odd runs that was one of the pivotal moments. Batsmen should have taken responsibility and chased down the total. We still believe that we can win this competition. It is still early days in tournament, competition is wide open. We just have to be more consistent.

Nathan Coulter-Nile, Man of the Match: No. I did not think I would get that much. I remember Smith being on 81 and me not hanging around in a practice game, so I thought I would stick around a little bit. Played a pull shot second ball and it went up, luck went my way - couple dropped safely and inside edged a few. That's the way cricket goes. We back ourselves, we got two world class bowlers and Zamps. We back ourselves to defend anything. I felt it (the surface) quite hard - the wicket was a bit up and down but I settled in and got used to it. They were on the way before Starcy picked 2-3, good move by Finch to bring him on then. He is a fantastic bowler and credit goes to him.

Australia were 38/4, yet they made 288. All credit to Steve Smith. Batsmen were being bounced out, but he stayed calm. Carey gave him decent company but it was Nathan Coulter-Nile who actually stepped up the gas and played his best ODI innings. Once set, he changed gears and took pressure off Smith, who was stunningly caught by Cottrell at the fence. NCN himself missed a deserved hundred by 8 runs, but he ensured Australia got a pretty stiff total on a pitch which had a bit of bounce for the pacers. There is a lot of quality in their bowling and Starc scripted a lovely story in the end.

18:32 Local Time, 17:32 GMT, 23:02 IST: What a game. 288 may not seem big, but it's a classic ODI contest that we witnessed today and it's pleasing to see in an era where batsmen murder bowlers on roads. West Indies look dejected. They were in it till the very end. They had a handful of moments to seize and close out the game, but Australia showed why they are defending champs. There was a lot of hope after Hope and Pooran steadied the innings and the captain put his hand up and played a very positive innings. With Russell, Brathwaite and the asking rate not too high, it looked manageable for West Indies, but Starc showed his bowling prowess at the death. He conceded just 1 run in his last two overs for the wickets of a set Holder, a dangerous Brathwaite and Cottrell to kill the game in a matter of minutes.

49.6

Coulter-Nile to Nurse, FOUR, Coulter-Nile is trying hard to get the yorker but he misses and Nurse plays a delightful off-drive. West Indies lose agonisingly by 15 runs and this is Australia's 10th successive ODI win

4

Coulter-Nile to Nurse, FOUR, hat-trick of fours, but the intent had to be there before. Coulter-Nile offers a slower ball freebie down the leg-side, Nurse helps it away fine and beats Zampa at mid-off

49.4

4

Coulter-Nile to Nurse, FOUR, that is a lovely cover drive but this is coming all too late. Overpitched delivery outside off stump, Nurse crashes that hard and the man sweeping the off-side fence didn't have a chance

49.3

4

Coulter-Nile to Nurse, FOUR, finally some runs, no point just defending or denying runs. If it's about the net run rate, runs help too. Short delivery on the leg stump, Nurse pulls and sends it to the backward square leg fence

49.2

Coulter-Nile to Nurse, no run, short and down the leg-side, Nurse misses the pull, the ball lobs to the keeper off the thigh pad

Himanshu Raj: Those runs at the end of Australian innings must be hurting West Indies. Australian team showing why they are 5 times world champion.

49.1

Coulter-Nile to Nurse, no run, low full toss, Nurse drives but finds mid-off

Nathan Coulter-Nile [9.0-0-54-0] is back into the attack

It's only a mathematically possible 32 needed off 6 balls.
