Bangladesh are the fifth team eliminated but they can go out with their heads held high. They have been entertaining from their first game as they overpowered a fancied South African team. Even when Australia and England plundered them for a lot of runs, they never dropped their guard. They missed a few key moments in their game against New Zealand and that I feel turned out to be really costly. They will be up against Pakistan next and would want to put up a good show as they bow out. India on the other hand have a death over concern for them with the bat and the ball. Today was the fourth game on the trot where India floundered in the last 15-20 overs with the bat and ended up with a score that looked a few runs light. And they played with a different combination today. Only five specialist bowlers and Pandya never looked like the weak link. Shami though at the death was again a little iffy. India has one more game against SL to iron out the flaws. It's never too late! And on that note, we will take a leave. This is Kumar Abhisekh Das wishing you good night on behalf of Pradeep Krishnamurthy, Akshay Maanay, Abhinand Raghavendran, Nikhil Jadhav and Sulthan.

(2/2): Playing with five bowlers was a gamble but we had to change the combinations because of the ground dimensions. We wanted to try out a perfect combination when we play with such a small boundary, as we can't be playing with the same combination for every pitch and every dimension we play. So we needed to be a bit flexible and we got the result today. I have been watching it for years now, I have been saying it publicly, in my opinion Rohit is the best One-day player. When he plays, we are heading towards a big score and really happy with the way he's playing. Bumrah's overs were always going to be crucial, you can bank on him. He's the number 1 bowler at the moment and he can execute his plans. We can look to capitalise on situations when you can get those extra 30 runs. Very happy with the way the team has played, Sri Lanka is also a good side so would like to continue playing well against them. Really happy with the crowd, thank you guys!

Virat Kohli | India skipper, (1/2): I mean Bangladesh has played some really good cricket in the tournament. They deserve a lot of credit for the fight they put up, even till the last wicket I think they were in the game. We had to work hard for the win but very happy that we saw 'Q' (Qualified) in front of the team in the table now. Another game as an opportunity for us to do the same things we have done so far in the tournament, and I think that will keep us in the frame of mind heading towards the semi-final. And as I said, we are really really happy that we qualified for the semi-final with one more game to go. We experienced that when Hardik put under pressure has come back well in the tournament. He finds a way to contain runs and get you wickets, he's really looking forward to do stuff for the team and that's really helping his cricket. When he comes on to bowl he thinks as a batsman and that helps him to think, think what the batsmen could do. You always have that extra bit of cushion when you have someone like that, he actually wants the ball, so that he can check the body language (of batsmen), he's really bowling well.

Mashrafe Mortaza | Bangladesh skipper: That was the match we had to win. We couldn't make it but there was some good performance by Mustafizur. One of them had to go on and score 80-90. Bit of luck could have gone our favour. The tournament has been nice, exceptional performance by Shakib and Mushy batted really well right through. A batsman like Rohit Sharma in such form, but it happens in cricket and we cannot blame Tamim for that. We will try to play our best in the last game. They were here supporting us today as well.

Rohit Sharma, Man of the Match: I had a great feeling right at the start. The pitch was good to bat on. Initially wanted to take some time and then assess where we go from there. That's how it has been for me at this World Cup. The first game against South Africa the conditions were challenging, so I had to take my time. Against England as well the pitch was two paced and wasn't coming onto the bat as normally I would like to and they used the slower balls really well. But again batting first there is no pressure of the scoreboard. You come out thinking to be positive and that's what I do. I was lucky. Fortune favors the brave. I never think about the short boundary. My game is all about piercing the field and once I am in there the idea is to put pressure on the bowlers. My mantra is whatever has happened in the past, keep it in the past. It is a new day, present day and I don't try to think what has happened. That is very critical from a team's point of view, the guys who are batting well should carry on and get the team to a good total. What has happened today has happened, I need to focus on the next game now.

They started off slightly slowly with Soumya Sarkar taking his time. Tamim though fell to Shami in the first 10 and his downfall brought in Shakib who kept churning the runs but wickets kept falling at the other end. And then came the moment of the game, Shakib chipped a slower ball to cover off Pandya, one of his three wickets on the day. But just as there were talks of an early wrap up, Sabbir Rahman and Saifuddin took charge. They took on the attack, that meant Virat and his boys did have a few drops of sweat on their foreheads. But Bumrah decided to own the day and finish it off himself. Firstly, he removed Sabbir with a slower ball and then applied the final rites with a couple of brutal yorkers to number 10 and 11. In the end, Saifuddin was left stranded but what an incredibly good knock it was under pressure.

18:32 Local Time, 17:32 GMT, 23:02 IST: A lady - Charulata Patel - who is 87 years young and a die hard Indian team fan was out there to congratulate the players. Virat Kohli went over and spoke to her. Speaks volumes of what this tournament means to her and the entire Indian contingent. India have done it again to Bangladesh. Knocked them out in 2015 WC and have delivered the killer blow again. This after Bangladesh had dented India badly in the 2007 WC. Back then, they might not have been favorites but today they went neck and neck against every Indian move barring the opening partnership. But once the 180-run partnership was broken Bangladesh clawed back a lot of distance. It was light-years turning into mere metres. India were easily 30 short thanks to their meltdown in the last 20 overs. The Fizz ended up with a fifer to be the wrecker-in-chief. 315 and Bangladesh had a fair shout at it. Few felt it would be a squeak. And Bangladesh never let India breathe easy.

Bumrah to Mustafizur, out Bowled!! India win by 28 runs. India have qualified for the semi-finals. Bangladesh have been knocked out. This man is Virat's most bankable currency. Every time Virat wants, he withdraws a wicket out of Bumrah. That was speared in full and went under the bat of Mustafizur to peg back the base of the off-pole. He was late to get his bat down but the Indians were up quickly to celebrate a win at Edgbaston. Mustafizur b Bumrah 0(1)

Bumrah to Mustafizur, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Sumit: Heads off to Saifuddin. Indian tail-enders should learn from this man how to play in death overs. What a contest.

Bumrah to Rubel, out Bowled!! Finally an Indian bowler gets the yorker right and Rubel backing away, misses. The LED bails glow up and Bangladesh lose their 9th wicket. Superb delivery from Bumrah. He is all pumped up. Hasn't been happy with his execution today and let's out a roar. Rubel took a chance against the best in the world and missed it. Rubel b Bumrah 9(11) [4s-1]

Bumrah to Saifuddin, FOUR, this man and this knock! Fifty for Saifuddin. Has been brilliant today. Pitched up delivery, again misses the mark and Saifuddin thumped it down the ground. Virat at long-on puts in the dive but fails to stop it

47.2

Bumrah to Rubel, 1 run, slower length delivery and has been slogged across the line for a single. 34 needed now

47.1

Bumrah to Saifuddin, 1 run, low full toss and has been heaved away into the on-side. Only a single. He could have charged for a double there. 35 needed now

36 more needed now. Last 7 overs have gone for 54. Bangladesh didn't take a leaf out of India's mistakes from the last game. A better beginning would have helped them further.

Shami to Rubel, no run, and jams the yorkerish delivery out to the keeper. Looks to throw his bat at it and toe-ends the ball out to the keeper. Good finish after the boundary for Shami
