So we have had rather three one-sided games to start the tournament. England were thrashed by New Zealand on day 1, Pakistan registered an authoritative win against Netherlands last night and Bangladesh have steamrolled Afghanistan today. There's an ongoing match between South Africa and Sri Lanka, let's hope it isn't as one-sided.. For now, it's a goodbye from Abhinav, Nikhil, Ramki, Anurag and Praveen. See you tomorrow!

Shakib Al Hasan: Very happy with the way we played. We believed if we got a wicket, we could come back in. Wasn't easy for few players, but happy with the way we batted and bowled. We have been practising here. We need to adapt to these things (tough outfields) if we want to win. We got three, four fast bowlers, they can change any game and I hope they will bowl well in the upcoming games, it's a long tournament. He (Mehidy) has been playing very well. Shanto is another one in the dressing room, they always want to perform well for the team.
Hashmatullah Shahidi: We had a good start, but we had bad shot selections after that. I think we fought well, but the score wasn't good enough. Looking forward to the next game. Need to learn from our mistakes, need to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz | Player of the Match: It’s a great moment for me, I’ve done a lot of hard work in the past. Credit to the team management because they believed in me. I was a bit cautious, the captain told me to bowl in the right areas. He told me to be consistent and to focus on my own performance so credit to the captain. I took it ball by ball, didn’t look at the runs. Wicket was turning a bit, I just tried to play straight. I’ve always batted at no.8 so a great moment for me to bat at the top of the order. They tried me at the top of the order in the last few matches and it’s a great moment for me.

16:22 Local Time, 10:52 GMT, 16:22 IST: A clinical performance by Bangladesh as they open their World Cup campaign with an emphatic win. The way things started earlier in the day, it seemed as if it would be an interesting contest, however, Bangladesh have won it with nonchalance in the end. The Afghan openers got them off an impressive start after they were put in to bat first, however, captain Shakib Al Hasan brought himself into the attack and turned the tide in his side's favour. The Bangladesh captain took three wickets and proved to be the game changer. Not to forget Mehidy Hasan Miraz who was equally impressive. He bowled dot balls after dot balls and built the pressure, and even he ended up picking up three wickets. It was the knock by Shahidi that sucked the momentum away from Afghanistan and Bangladesh made sure to not allow the opposition get back in the game. In the chase, Bangladesh lost a couple of early wickets, but once again it was Miraz who came to the party and brought some luck along with him. His partnership with Shanto put Bangladesh in the driver's seat as they eventually got over the line by 6 wickets.. A morale boosting victory for Bangladesh, not so for Afghanistan.. Stay around for the presentations..
