Cummins has picked up with the ball and he will hope he gets great company from Starc and Hazlewood soon to stamp authority with Zampa making it a habit of picking 4-fers. Netherlands lost by a big margin today but they did push both Australia with the ball right at the start and then just before the Maxwell show began too. That's it from this game. Can't wait for Australia v New Zealand on Saturday, while the Netherlands play Bangladesh next. Before that England play Sri Lanka at the Chinnaswamy tomorrow. We'll see you soon. Take care!

Beware, Australia are up and running. Travis Head has just joined their squad too. Afghanistan coach Jonathan Trott stressed on the importance of getting on a roll in World Cups and how teams that have lifted the World Cup in the past have done that. Australia sure are on a roll. They are gaining muscle game after game after a poor start. Warner, Marsh got the runs last game, today Smith, Marnus and Maxwell got some quality runs too to iron out the batting further.

Pat Cummins | Australia captain: Really happy, complete game. To put 400 on board and then defend well, couldn't be happier. Crazy innings. I think we both contributed equally in that hundred partnership (chuckles). Fantastic innings, the cleanest hitting I've seen. We played the style we liked to. Pleased with Smithy getting runs. We were aiming for powerplay wickets, bowled quite well without a lot of luck. Zamps with another four-fer. They (New Zealand) are a really good side.. Big game in Dharamsala. It's the World Cup and we are in a good space, can't wait to get there. (Areas to improve) I don't think we have totally nailed the 50 overs with the bat yet.

Scott Edwards | Netherlands captain: They are a quality side, we should have been better today. Execution (what could have been done better with ball). You miss by fractions and you get out of the park. Full credit to the Aussies. We got back in a bit there with 10 overs to go. Maxwell got going and we couldn't stop him. Pretty nice wicket here and ball travels so quickly. Those two (opening batters) were awesome for us for the last 18 months and one of the reasons why we are here so we back them all the way. Just touch on things to improve and move on quickly from this and prepare ourselves for the next game.

David Warner talking to the official broadcaster after the game: It was a special day for him (Maxwell). The rock the cradle celebration was special as well. We spoke about it during the IPL, it is about timing and rhythm. First game in Chennai is always challenging, need time to get used to wickets here. Going back to basics, be nice and still. I know I have the ability to bat in these conditions and it's about backing your skill. I ran a two for my mate (for Steve Smith), he nearly ran me out (laughs loudly), I will remember this for a long time. I pride myself on my fitness. Kohli does it as well. Running as hard as well for your team-mate. [on the four consecutive fours he hit off Aryan Dutt] They were getting close and closer to the bat, try and work out where to pierce the gap. I wanted to reverse sweep and he kept pitching it shorter and it was a handy start to get myself in rhythm. For me it's about going out there and doing my best. We live for those World Cups, every four years, we really have to shine in those. I try and emulate what I do in the bilateral series. To be in the same category and class is special for us. We have watched them growing up [on Sachin and Ponting]. In 30 years time will reflect and enjoy. [on Zampa] Really proud of him, he had back spasms a couple of games ago, kept going out and going in. We have a running joke with him, we have changed him from right-arm legbreak to right-arm googly. We told him as well and had a laugh. Good to see him take wickets and great signs going into the New Zealand game. Great to see the ball swinging early on, one thing we spoke about it in the bowler's meeting was our new-ball bowlers trying to hit the keeper's gloves hard and good to see them taking wickets in the powerplay. Forever (laughs loudly) [on whether he will remember the mix-up with Steve Smith!].

Glenn Maxwell | PoTM: I was just trying to give ourselves a good platform at the end. You can certainly cash in on this ground with bat (batting first towards the end) and it seams under lights. Nice to get some rhythm finally in the tournament. Huge confidence booster. Some doubts do creep in when you are consistently not making runs. Hopefully I can ride forward from this. Pretty much the perfect game with bat and ball for us. Three wins now and certainly starting to get that momentum as a team.

20:27 Local Time, 14:57 GMT, 20:27 IST: Australia have created history here. They have recorded the highest-ever win by runs in CWC history. This is some thrashing for Netherlands. Even they wouldn't have expected such a big loss. After Australia posted 399 on the back of tons from Warner and Maxwell, it was always going to be tough for the men in orange. Starc provided the early breakthrough and a run-out sent back Vikramjit Singh who was looking good. From there it was one-way traffic. Mitch Marsh who hasn't bowled much recently helped himself to a 2-fer and then Zampa came on and picked up a cheap four-fer to go with his two similar hauls before this game. So 12 wickets in his last 3 games after a poor start to this tournament. He is truly well and back and so are Australia. This win will turbo-boost their NRR as well and now they are firm contenders for not only making the semis but look dangerous to go all the way and win it too. The only solace for Netherlands from this game will be - that they can take all of this as learnings and come back a better team. A super-early finish here in Delhi and hang on for all the post-match stuff...

Zampa to van Meekeren, out Stumped!! Hat-trick of four-fers for Zampa! Australia win by 309 runs. What a win this is. van Meekeren shuffles across and looks to sweep, the ball is down the leg-side, he misses, Josh Inglis fumbles too but the ball falls on the stumps from him. The foot is on the line and van Meekeren has to go. van Meekeren st Josh Inglis b Zampa 0(1)
