A big win for Netherlands means they keep their slim chance of qualifying for the tournament proper alive but they still need other results to go their way. As for Oman, it was not such a good day in the field but they did reasonably well with the bat. There's one last game for them to showcase their skills and gain some experience and it will be against the West Indies. That's all for today. We have a big one coming up tomorrow - Zimbabwe v Scotland. Do join us for that. Until then, goodbye and stay safe..
Scott Edwards | Netherlands captain: That was the plan (to get the win and stay alive). Yeah, got the job done. There was a little period in the middle where we struggled but how Vikram, Wesley and Bas finished off the innings was amazing. It was awesome to see Vikram bat the way he did. They (Oman) went pretty well through the middle but we picked it back. As a unit we were pretty good, Ryan and Aryan were excellent with the ball. Some results have to go our way, we will watch them but can't do much than prepare for our next game.
Aqib Ilyas | Oman captain: I will give credit to their opening batters on how they batted and got through the difficult conditions. They carried on from thereon and put up a massive total on the board. Not a great day in the field for us as well. The dugout is always positive and the target does not matter but we didn't get the start we needed to chase this total. We have to focus on our strengths and we didn't execute our plans. He (Aayan Khan) played a really well, he's a positive guy and it is nice to score a hundred. When you play such tournaments then you know where you are compared to the rest and hopefully the future Oman teams will be better.
Vikramjit Singh | Player of the Match: Amazing, have waited a long time for it. Finally getting an ODI hundred. We’ve been talking that in the start it will go a bit in the first 15 overs. Our thoughts were just to look out for that period and then get going. I wanted to bat long, and let things take care of themselves. After 15 overs today, we batted the way we wanted to.
17:13 Local Time, 15:13 GMT, 20:43 IST: Oman gave a better account of themselves with the bat but the damage had been done in the first innings where their bowlers could not make the most of favourable conditions. Aayan Khan was the standout performer and he notched up his maiden ODI hundred just like Vikramjit Singh did early on. The 5th wicket partnership of 112 runs between Aayan and Shoaib gave Oman a glimmer of hope, but Netherlands showed their superior experience and got through that period, once the stand was broken, the fate of the match was settled. Aayan remained unbeaten as bad light stopped play and both teams decided to shake hands. Aryan Dutt recorded his career-best ODI figures and was the chief wrecker with 3 for 31. Presentations coming up..
The umpires are having a word with Edwards. Looks like the light has faded even more and the Netherlands skipper leaves the decision to the Oman batters, who decide it is enough and the players shake hands. That's it. Netherlands win by 74 runs as per DLS.

The umpires get together and have some sort of discussion. It must be regarding the light which has deteriorated in the last few minutes. FYI, there are no floodlights
Ryan Klein to Suraj Kumar, 1 run, back of a length on off, Suraj pats it to cover-point and quickly crosses over
Ryan Klein to Suraj Kumar, wide, short ball down leg, Suraj goes chasing and does not connect
