That is the end of the comp for Oman. A lot of them are professionals doing their day jobs back in Oman and also representing their nation in cricket. This is their best performance - top six finish - in the qualification for the 50 over World Cup. They played the qualifiers for the 2021 T20 World Cup, but failed to qualify to the main round. They now have a chance to make it to the 2024 T20 World Cup as they will be playing qualifiers in the coming months. West Indies still have a game against Sri Lanka in this comp. If they can make a strong statement in their final game here it will be a big boost going into the India series later this month. We have a massive game tomorrow - Scotland v Netherlands with both in contention to seal that final spot available for the 2023 World Cup. See you all again for the key contest in a few hours time!

Shai Hope: Yeah, but a little too late unfortunately but happy to see the strides from the past games we have played, but I am happy. International cricket there is no walk overs. We had to respect the game and that's what we did. We had the advantage of bowling first this time around. Past is past, I just asked the guys this morning to enjoy the game today. He (King) is a joy to watch, I love to see him play. Being at the non-striker's end and be part of that partnership. Happy to see him getting runs and hopefully we can continue as a batting group to get the big runs. We want to be consistent and play the situation.

Aqib Ilyas: We were short on runs, flat track to bat on. We knew we had to get 300 runs. One single runout changes the game but we had three in our innings. This is the platform where Test sides are there and Oman is in the top six. Our batters and bowlers did really well. There were collective performances as a team. Playing in such platforms help you know where you are good and need to improve. Oman is going to play the Emerging Cup in Sri Lanka and then the T20 World Cup qualifiers.

Brandon King | PoTM: It was about keeping it simple, trusting my instincts and trying to hit the right areas. I wanted to stay patient before taking on the bowlers. Just need to try and be consistent, keep the same approach, same intensity. The start is the hardest part, we have to assess conditions and then your natural instincts as a batter take you through. Yes of course the ultimate goal is to see the team through till the end, couldn’t do that today.

15:35 Local Time, 13:35 GMT, 19:05 IST: The attitude, the energy from the West Indies on the field was pretty good. Nic Pooran in particular was very vocal and supportive of the bowlers. They fielded pretty well, bowled pretty well and definitely batted sensibly to hunt this modest target down. In what is their final appearance of the comp, Oman were asked to bat first and they actually got off to a decent start. If not for those three runouts, they could have actually kicked on for a competitive total. West Indies kept chipping away to keep the target in check. In reply, Charles failed yet again, but Carty and King stitched a good stand. King went on to score a fine hundred. Captain Hope was calm and composed at the other end as Oman failed to make inroads. With the victory in sight, they lost King right after the century but Pooran was flowing freely in his short stay and made it look simple.
