That's some win for the Scots, an upset for sure but try telling that to Coetzer and his boys. This result has totally thrown Group B wide open. Bangladesh have only themselves to blame. They came into this tournament with two home series wins, but those were on incredibly sub-standard surfaces where batting was a lottery. Despite beating the second-string sides of New Zealand and Australia, you felt that it was never going to be the ideal preparation for a tournament like the World Cup. Defeats to Ireland (warm up game) and the loss today certainly confirm that thought. Their batting has always been the weaker suite in this format and as Mahmudullah said, they need to correct it as quickly as possible. Hope you enjoyed our coverage of this encounter. We certainly loved bringing it to you. On that note, it's Hari Sadanandan signing off on behalf of MS Ramakrishnan, Nikhil Jadhav and Siva. Cheers!

Kyle Coetzer: Credit to the Bangladesh bowlers, they showed high class skills. They did blow us away a bit. But you can't count any team out in T20s. We had a lot of belief in our batting depth, we do feel we can all hit the ball a long way. Greaves and Watt showed it. It was tricky, there was plenty of dew. I felt our fielders tackled it well apart from myself, all credit to them. It (lower order fightback) just shows that we can win a game from any position. We fought back with some great knocks and this is a great confidence builder. We understand that we have to play extremely well to beat sides. We certainly didn't play to our full potential tonight against a good Bangladesh side. We'll do what we do after winning games, and maybe de-brief at some point tomorrow. Huge togetherness amongst our crowd. That's one of the most important things that we need when we want to get across the line under pressure. Everyone backs each other. Really proud of the guys. We continually keep proving to ourselves that we're capable.

Mahmudullah: I think the wicket was quite good and 140 was gettable. We were missing that one big over in the middle. Bowlers did their job really well but the batting unit weren't good enough tonight. (If Bangladesh were complacent when Scotland were 53/6) Don't think so, we were just one wicket away. Credit goes to their batters, they had a good finish. Yeah, when you can't chase 140, there needs to be a look-in, need to correct the mistakes. We still need to be positive and figure out where we made mistakes, and not try to repeat them. Beautiful wicket to bat on, fantastic ground and crowd, we need to pull our socks up and play better cricket.

Chris Greaves | Player of the Match: We were in a tough situation. The thought was to rebuild and see where we can get from there. Unbelievable that I could be that person (to contribute), incredible. With the score on the board you got something to bowl at. The power-hitting right through our side is incredible. So yeah, once we got that total, with our bowling line-up, we backed it and... great game. It was my day. There would be many other days that any one of us could do well. Glad that I contributed. Incredible to be a Scottish cricketer today. So many words I could put to use. Enjoyable. Take one day at a time and hopefully many more wins to come.

21:49 Local Time, 17:49 GMT, 23:19 IST: This is a heist, a spectacular one at that. At 53/6 in the first half, Scotland were down for the count. Bangladesh would have not only sensed a win but also thought about improving their net run rate. This is T20 though, crazy things happen here all the time. Greaves and Watt got the Scots to 140 and while it was a below-par total, it was respectable for sure. Bangladesh started shakily, losing their openers in the powerplay and there was simply no impetus in those first six overs. Rahim and Shakib tried to repair things but once that partnership was broken (by Greaves again, who else), things went haywire for the Asian side. Both set batters fell to Greaves in his successive overs and Scotland never really let loosened their grip over the game thereafter. There was dew, and that makes this effort from Scotland all the more laudable. A top, top win.

Safyaan Sharif to Mahedi Hasan, 1 run, Scotland seal a fantastic six-run win! Sharif holds his nerve, bowls the legal ball and that's the end of that. Shorter ball, pulled to deep mid-wicket and the roars start among the Scots

Eight needed off the final ball. A mini-conference with Sharif, probably telling him to just calmly bowl a legal ball. They're also drying the ball profusely.

4

Safyaan Sharif to Mahedi Hasan, FOUR, can't find the six this time, only a four and now Sharif just has to bowl a legal ball to get Scotland through. Low full toss, Mahedi makes room and scythes this wide of extra cover. No chance for deep point

19.4

6

Safyaan Sharif to Mahedi Hasan, SIX, there's one of those sixes! Mahedi wants the waist-high no ball for this, smoked it way over deep mid-wicket but the umps feel it's a fair delivery. The batter had to crouch a bit, so that made the call easier

Just a small matter of three sixes for Bangladesh.

19.3

Safyaan Sharif to Saifuddin, 1 run, nails the yorker now, follows Saifuddin who can only dig it out

Mid-off drops back now.

19.2

4

Safyaan Sharif to Saifuddin, FOUR, up and over! Length ball from Sharif and Saifuddin lofts cleanly over mid-off. Wrong length from the bowler and Sharif pays the price

19.1

Safyaan Sharif to Mahedi Hasan, 1 run, near-yorker, Mahedi looks for the reverse paddle and gets this onto his helmet. They take a single eventually. There is a concussion protocol quickly done with Mahedi who seems to be fine

Safyaan Sharif [2.0-0-9-0] is back into the attack
What a penultimate over that was from Wheal! 25 needed now off the final over. Only a miracle can save Bangladesh now.

Wheal to Mahmudullah, out Caught by MacLeod!! Holes out this time! Mahmudullah is livid with himself. This was there to be hit, was in the slot but in the eagerness to clear the fence, he goes a bit too hard on the loft. Skies it straight down the ground and long-on has enough time to get across. Is that the game? Should probably be. Near impossible for the Tigers to get home now. Mahmudullah c MacLeod b Wheal 23(22) [4s-1 6s-1]

Wheal to Mahmudullah, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

18.4

Wheal to Mahmudullah, no run, terrific riposte from Wheal, pinpoint yorker, middle stump line and Mahmudullah can't do much except dig it out
