PNG might have lost two in two but they can keep their heads high. They put in a spirited performance in this game and came back quite well with both bat and ball in the second half. There is one more game for them and they will surely look to leave their imprint on this tournament. That's all from this game. The second match between Oman and Bangladesh is coming up. Switch tabs and catch all the action. It is goodbye for now..

Kyle Coetzer | Scotland captain: I think it (deciding to bat) is probably on how PNG play the game. We also like to bat first in most of our T20s in this part of the world. But we knew PNG with their attack could really squeeze us in the second half if they got a score on the board, that's why we thought better to put a score on the board and put them under pressure. Getting the win was most impressive. I feel PNG put us under pressure in the second half of the innings. We also lost wickets at the top in our innings and then pulled it back through excellent innings from Berrington and Cross.

Assad Vala | PNG captain: They love hitting the ball. The batsmen haven't showed it yet but the lower order likes to hit the ball. Vanua is a really good batsman, batting all-rounder, bowling all-rounder you can call whatever you want. He likes playing against Scotland, scored few runs against them, he was on again today. (Biggest challenge for PNG) Probably getting exposure, playing more games, testing ourselves against quality opposition in different situations will be good. If we can play more games against teams like Scotland and Tier 1 nations, we can express ourselves more. We haven't started well in both games. Our bowling gave away runs at the start, we pegged them back, we bowled well in the end. We believed we could chase it down, but we didn't start as well as we would have liked. Scotland are a very good bowling team, they put us under pressure early on. We fought back really well in the middle and towards the end but it wasn't enough.

Richie Berrington | Player of the Match: I think it takes some time to get going on that wicket. They bowled well. Thankful that we got just over par on that wicket. We wanted to give ourselves some time. And then in the back end thankfully we got that partnership. I try to hit it down the ground and leave the funky shots to others.

17:20 Local Time, 13:20 GMT, 18:50 IST: Papua New Guinea were down and out by the end of the powerplay where they had lost 5 for 35. But from there to get it till the last over was a fantastic effort. Norman Vanua was the chief architect of the fight back. The right hander added couple of crucial partnerships for the sixth and seventh wickets to keep his side in the game. But unfortunately he was left to do too much by the top order and he could not see them over the line. Scotland started well with the ball and finished well, but they allowed the game to drift away in the middle period instead of killing it. Anyway, it is two wins out of two for them and they have one foot in the Super 12s. Hang around for the presentations..

Davey to Chad Soper, out Caught by Matthew Cross!! Scotland win by 17 runs. Davey picks up his fourth wicket and records his career best T20I figures. He shortened his length after being struck for a six, Soper backed away and tried to ramp it over the keeper, he got the faintest of edges and Cross took a good low catch. He and Davey went up straightaway but umpire Dharmasena was not interested but Coetzer sent it upstairs and got it overturned. Chad Soper c Matthew Cross b Davey 16(11) [4s-1 6s-1]

Davey to Chad Soper, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

Scotland review! Cross heard something and he appeals. Coetzer comes across and sends it upstairs. UltraEdge should gives us a clean picture. There is a spike. OUT!

6

Davey to Chad Soper, SIX, PNG will hope Soper can connect three more like this. Davey angles this right in the arc, Soper clears his front leg and launches it over cow corner. That traveled a mile and is the third longest six at 86 meters..

19.1

Davey to Chad Soper, no run, uhh! This was there to be put away. Fullish delivery outside off, Soper makes room and swings through the line, misses and the ball whizzes past the outside edge

24 off 6. Mathematically still possible but Scotland have this in the bag. Davey to finish off..

Wheal to Kabua Morea, SIX, wow! First ball and Morea has sent it out of the park. Another delivery right in the swinging zone by Wheal and Morea swings hard, gets a lot of height and the required distance to clear long-on

18.5

Wheal to Chad Soper, 1 run, fullish delivery around off, Soper drives to extra cover and has to be content with a single

Kabua Morea, right handed bat, comes to the crease

Wheal to Chad Soper, out Pokana Run Out!! 1 run completed. Pokana perishes for the team's cause. Soper wanted the strike and Pokana sacrificed his wicket. Very full delivery and Soper drives it towards long-off, he was always going back for the second but Pokana was a bit hesitant and that cost him. Good throw from Evans and Wheal does the rest. Pokana run out (Evans/Wheal) 1(1)

Wheal to Chad Soper, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!

18.3

Wheal to Pokana, 1 run, very full delivery and Pokana squeezes the drive to extra cover

18.2

Wheal to Chad Soper, 1 run, on a length and around off, Soper swipes it across the line to long-on

Wheal to Chad Soper, FOUR, Soper is keeping the fight going. He gets a length delivery in his arc and he smashes it straight back over the bowler, not off the middle but with mid-off in the ring it was a safe shot

Bradley Wheal [3.0-0-27-1] is back into the attack
