That's a wrap to this game. Namibia stay alive with this history-making win while the Netherlands are on the brink of elimination. This result might still be inconsequential, given the high net run rates of Sri Lanka and Ireland, who will be facing off in the next game today. However, you never know in this format. Do hop tabs and enjoy the coverage of the second game of the double-header. Cheers!
Gerhard Erasmus: Special win indeed for us. At the halfway mark of the chase, it was tough. Credit to Wiese for playing that special innings. Was a bit tough bowling with the short boundary on one side. Both sides didn't really nail their bowling and fielding fully well. From the coaching to the administration and the players, it's a really special day for everyone.
Pieter Seelar: I think it was a par score. Namibia bowled well but not entirely great. We were worse. In hindsight obviously (would have bowled himself more). We went with a few choices that didn't go well. Very tough. If Ireland beat Sri Lanka, we have a chance but if not, have to finish things with a strong performance.
David Wiese, Player of the Match: I'm exhausted, it's pretty hot out there. It was just a case of picking the right sides, as one of them was a shorter side. We were lucky to get that big over before the drinks break, it gave us the momentum. It's a special moment, playing such a knock in a World Cup match. I would like to thank Namibia for giving me a chance to represent them.
17:17 Local Time, 13:17 GMT, 18:47 IST: Sport is harsh, you always have contrasting emotions at the end of a game because only one person can win. Look at the faces in the Namibia camp. For a side that only got it's ODI status in 2019, this is rapid progress and their performance today against a strong Dutch side is testimony to how much they have come up as an international team. The chase started well through the openers but in the matter of a few overs, they were in tatters at 51/3 in the ninth over. The asking rate was mounting and the Dutch were eying a win as well as a net run rate boost. But their party was gatecrashed by Wiese who brought all his experience to the fore, smashing the bowlers for fun. His counterattack with skipper Erasmus all but sealed the game for Namibia. The latter couldn't see the game through but by the time he was gone, the result was more or less decided. Netherlands would rue some of their bowling tactics which were shocking to say the least. They kept bowling the slot to a powerhouse like Wiese and he made them pay dearly.

Logan van Beek
4-0-39-0
van Beek to Smit, FOUR, Namibia register their first ever win in the T20 World Cup! What a moment for the team and its stakeholders! Streaky shot to end things but it's been a clinical win. Very full and outside off, Smit throws his hands at it and gets a thick edge, splitting the keeper and short third man with ease. Immediately lets out a fist-pump and Wiese at the other end also pumps his hands in joy. Special day for Namibia cricket!
van Beek to Smit, FOUR, if there was a tiny glimmer of hope for the Dutch, this shot has killed all of it! Width on offer, slower ball and Smit carves it past backward point. Nobody sweeping behind square on the off-side and it's virtually a game-sealing boundary for Namibia
van Beek to Smit, 2 runs, short of a length, straighter line, flat-batted back past the bowler, straight down the ground and long-on gets across with a slide. A couple more. Namibia inch closer
van Beek to Smit, wide, shorter and too wide outside off this time, Smit lets it pass
van Beek to Smit, no run, another slower ball, could have been wide again but Smit stretches and toe-ends this back towards the bowler
van Beek to Smit, wide, harsh call probably! There was a tiny shuffle early from Smit and van Beek went a shade beyond the tramline
van Beek to Smit, 2 runs, back of a length, slower and wider, cut away through point. Sharp running and they steal a brace. 11 needed off 10 now!
van Beek to Smit, wide, another slower ball but van Beek gets this a bit too wide outside off
van Beek to Wiese, 1 run, slower ball, Wiese premeditates the reverse paddle, not enough momentum to beat short third man. Just a single
Logan van Beek [3.0-0-23-0] is back into the attack
Right, 15 needed off 12 now. Still Namibia's game to lose of course but if Wiese falls, things could get interesting. It's another matter that he could finish this with a few hits too.

Fred Klaassen
4-0-14-1
Fred Klaassen to Smit, no run, exceptional over from Klaassen! Another slower ball, Smit looks for the hoick but can't connect. Just 4 off the over!
Wiese has a word with Smit.
Fred Klaassen to Wiese, leg byes, 1 run, another slower ball, Wiese once again misses the slog and it deflects off the pad, landing just short of Scott Edwards who fumbles to allow the bye
Fred Klaassen to Wiese, no run, swing and a miss! Down the track goes Wiese again, early into the slog and misses the slower ball once more
