A day to forget for West Indies, but they will start to get concerned on the lacklustre batting. Twice in the warm-up games and now today, they have let the team and the bowlers down with some shoddy execution. For a team that prides itself in their T20I prowess, it was disappointing to see the amount of recklessness shown, right through the order. They have four games left and they're in a tough group, unless the batting improves, they'll find it extremely hard in what is already a competitive group. Of course, things have happened previously and tonight's debacle might just spur them on. Will this game be the launching pad towards success? On the other hand, England couldn't have hoped for an easier game to register their first-ever win over West Indies in T20 World Cups. Not a run-fest on the first day of the Super-12, just 350 runs from the two games, featuring four strong cricketing nations. Will tomorrow be different - four Asian giants are in action and we will be back with every ball. For now, cheers and bye..
Eoin Morgan | Winning captain - This is as good as it gets, to start a campaign is a credit to the bowling unit. I thought the wicket was a good one, but the bowling was spot-on, we took all our chances and deserved this win. He is someone who does the basics well (on Moeen), he finishes off matches for us, hasn't bowled a lot or played in a lot of games, but we did have someone like Ben Stokes in the middle. Mo has put in a huge contribution to the team. He's as good as he has ever been with the ball (on Tymal Mills), his ground fielding has improved a lot and he's at his best at the moment, bowling wise. Some of our catching was superb, full credit to the coaching staff. We were thinking about the net run rate and so sent in guys who could have a go from ball one. But I'm sure that he'll contribute to the team in the next few games (on Malan's demotion).
Kieron Pollard | Losing captain - There's not a lot to explain - it was an unacceptable performance, but we do need to take this on the chin and move on. It's a matter of finding our straps, we have to find a way to get a fighting total on the board, today was a day where we couldn't find that balance, but we need to forget this and move on. This is an international sport, such days happen, but we need to find a solution. We have played a lot of T20 cricket around the world, this is something we have all experienced, you'll have to accept such days. Each game is important, we still have four games in the tournament and we'll have to look forward. Got an opportunity due to the injury, things do happen for a reason, he (Hosein) has worked hard in domestic cricket, his attitude is fantastic, he has plenty of energy and that 's fantastic. I told the guys to give our best at the halfway stage.
Moeen Ali handed over what looked like CSK jersey to someone in the stands.
Moeen Ali | Player of the Match: It was always nice to catch one like that, I saw CJ running and thought about leaving it to him as he's so fast and great in the field, but then it was on my side and I stuck my hands out. It gives you confidence, my first over was nice until that six, but yes it does give you confidence. It helps with so many left handers in their team, but I have been bowling alright in the nets, quite confident and as I have been playing cricket, I was not that nervous. The role in that team (CSK) is really good for me, I felt comfortable and involved with both bat and ball, it is great to be playing those big games like the semifinals and finals and then coming to the World Cup.

20:24 Local Time, 16:24 GMT, 21:54 IST: A comprehensive win that will do just fine for England. The bowlers did the job and the batters only had to ensure against a massive slip-up - but they did lose four wickets and that's something Morgan would perhaps be a bit disappointed about. They had only 55 on the board, but West Indies gave it all with the ball and in the field. Akeal Hosein, playing in his first WC match, stood out, with his bowling and his athletic fielding, particularly the wicket off Livingstone. Ravi Rampaul, on his comeback did pretty well too, but they were on a hiding for nothing. Also shows England do have some familiar issues with their batting, could have been so different had they been chasing something competitive.
Pollard to Buttler, FOUR, that'll do for England, they win by 6 wickets - Pollard telegraphed the slower ball and Buttler was waiting on it, moves across and then swats it past square leg, beats fine leg to his left and that's that for this game
Pollard to Buttler, 2 runs, back of a length and well wide of off, Buttler waits on it and cuts it backwarde of square on the off-side - McCoy runs across to his left from deep point, puts in the dive and prevents the boundary
Kieron Pollard, right-arm medium, comes into the attack

Obed McCoy
2-0-12-0
Obed McCoy to Morgan, no run, banged in short and angling down leg, Morgan swivelled across on the pull and missed - an excited appeal for a caught behind, but West Indies aren't reviewing
Obed McCoy to Morgan, no run, the slower ball now - Morgan spots it late and then defends it solidly
Obed McCoy to Morgan, FOUR, almost another stunner! Hayden Walsh there and he was well inside the ropes - did all the hard yards, moved across from deep square leg - threw himself one-handed (as Akeal did), but can only get a fingertip and palmed it to the boundary ropes - banged in short and Morgan swivelled across on the pull over square leg
Obed McCoy to Buttler, 1 run, the slower yorker now, dipped in front of the right-hander, Buttler watched it all along and pushed it towards mid-off for a single
Obed McCoy to Morgan, 1 run, banged in short and rising onto the left-hander, Morgan rides the bounce and drops it in front of mid-on for a quick single
Some disturbance behind the umpire and Morgan moves away at the last moment
Obed McCoy to Buttler, 1 run, back of a length and angling across the right-hander, dabbed down towards third man for a single

Akeal Hosein
4-0-24-2
Akeal Hosein to Morgan, no run, the slider to end an excellent night with the ball for Akeal - went straight on and nearly caught Morgan in the crease, gets his bat down in time and squirts it to the on-side
A slip and a silly mid-on now
Akeal Hosein to Buttler, 1 run, dropped short and angling away from the right-hander, chopped away square on the off-side for a single
