Scotland looked pretty rounded on those Muscat pitches, but they have been found wanting with the bat in the UAE. These conditions probably demand playing more down the ground than across the line, use of the feet and those minor adjustments in technique. Skill wise they are pretty good, but it's all about adapting here. Namibia will be happy to get their Super 12 campaign away with a win. Both teams have a bit of a break now, but Australia and Sri Lanka are waiting to entertain us tomorrow. Aussie fans will be worried about Starc being doubtful. Sri Lanka will be hoping to have Theekshana back. Lot's to look forward to in the lone game tomorrow. Join us on the ride. Take care!
Gerhard Erasmus | Namibia captain: Delighted to get another World Cup win, another proud moment for the team. From here on we have to lift our level. We are excited for the challenge. Hopefully we can execute on those days. We all know we back each other. It was always about showing good intent. Luckily we got few partnerships to get over the line. Ruben (Trumpelmann) sets high standards. By his own admission he hasn't hit the straps but very delighted that he came out here and executed. That allowed us to start well and throw the first punch. Quite big (celebrating the victory), pretty proud moment. We savour this with the small Namibian group out here and all the people back home. Small but very proud country. We owe it to them back home.
Richard Berrington | Scotland captain: Disappointing day for us. 20-30 runs (short). Hard to recover after that sort of a first over. We just needed to get a partnership. I thought Leask and Cross played well. 120 would have given us a better chance. It was important we put the AFG game behind us. We were confident today, but we didn't execute. We have few days to reflect and recover. Sticking together is the strength of our team.
Ruben Trumpelmann | Player of the Match: It felt great to win and hope to get a few more. I'm focused on the training, and happy to see that things went my way. I was nervous out there, but I thought, it's the World Cup, so why not enjoy it. I use swing as a weapon up front, so luckily it went my way today. We hope to win a few more, but this is massive for us.
21:18 Local Time, 17:18 GMT, 22:48 IST: The Namibian fans are happy, the team is happy. They have shown some good composure under pressure, both with the ball and with the bat in this comp. The target was only 110 but Scotland had a pretty good bowling line-up with variety. So they weren't going to make it easy. With the new ball they were tight and Namibia sent Michael van Lingen up the order. The move almost put them under immense pressure until he got back-to-back boundaries before being dismissed. Greaves and Watt came on to keep the pressure on the batters. Williams fell in the trap and then Berrington got Leask on, who bowled a beauty to get rid of Erasmus. Wiese, Smit - the two key middle-order batters for Namibia and they were struggling a bit, edging the ball here and there. But Berrington cut the spinner and brought pace and Smit pounced on the move. Berrington realised his mistake and switched to spin again. But a lot of pressure was already off. Watt bowled a tight over, Leask then came on and got Wiese, but Smit had a calm head on his shoulders to guide the team home.
Safyaan Sharif to Smit, SIX, Smit has smashed this over point and it's gone all the way. Namibia win their first Super 12 game. They came with promise and they will be happy to pick up two points in their first game

That was a freebie from Wheal, but Jan Frylinck can't believe he dragged this straight to hand. Namibia fans will have to wait for a few more minutes for the celebrations. Wheal to Jan Frylinck, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Wheal to Smit, 1 run, slower ball low full toss, Smit taps it past the non-striker, looks at the ball and screams "yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah" as he realises there's a run to be had. Scores level
Wheal to Smit, FOUR, how calm, how calm was that under pressure from Smit! It's a full slot ball outside off stump, the slower ball in fact, he didn't try to hit hard, just waited and drove it to the left of the mid-off fielder and it's a four. Just two needed
Wheal to Jan Frylinck, 1 run, yorker, dug out back over the bowler's head, but mid-off can't cut it off
Bradley Wheal [3.0-0-8-0] is back into the attack
Wiese shakes his head in the dugout as he sits. Wanted to finish the game
