That's it from this game. DJ Bravo has signed off and this could have well been Chris Gayle's final game in West Indies colours. Two-time champions sadly out early in the comp. World cricket needs that West Indies flair. Their bravado is entertaining, We hope the team is back in full steam soon for cricket to be a better place. Meanwhile, South Africa face an uphil task against England and are batting first in Sharjah. We will see you there. Goodbye for now!

Aaron Finch: Really pleasing day. The way Evin Lewis came out and played, I thought it was going to be a long day but we held our nerve. I think the way he (Warner) managed his innings (was impressive). He was able to get off to a flier and allow Mitch Marsh into the game quickly and allow him to takeover for a period and then once that partnership was flourishing he took the reins again. Super player, he has been for a long time. Lot of people doubted him recently. I can't understand why. Now we have to wait for the South Africa game, fingers crossed. We are going to be on the bus to Dubai. I'm sure someone will be streaming it. It's tournament cricket isn't it. You know it is going to come down to this. We can hold our heads high if it doesn't go our way. We have won four games out of five. What a super super player (Dwayne Bravo). Had the pleasure of playing with him as well. What a super, super competitor. Someone who has always been in the game with the bat, ball. His fielding over the years has been outstanding too. For him to be able to hang up his boots on his terms is really special.

Kieron Pollard: I think overall has been a disappointing campaign. The batting has lived up to expectations, bowling has been decent. We could have done better with the fielding as well. Overall we weren't good enough. But for me, it's the end of a generation/era where you have some guys who have done some good things for T20 cricket, not only in the Caribbean but around the world. Sometimes one tournament you don't want to sum up the entire thing when it comes to that but rationally these guys have done pretty well for themselves and we as people are very, very proud. Obviously we need to look at the way we play T20 cricket again. Our team is set-up for powerhitters to do a lot of damage but we weren't able to do that. We have seen in these conditions that one guy in that top four has to bat through, when you get in try and stay as long as possible. It's hard for the guys to come and hit straightaway. That is something that we need to do better but the good thing is that we have to start from foundation now and that's the reality of the situation. There is nothing that we can do about it now. That journey would not have just started at this World Cup. The journey would have started earlier to get points accumalated whatever needed to qualify. For us it is what it is. We have to live with that. Couple of years ago we have to qualify for the 50-over World Cup and we did. So whoever in the position in terms of personnel now, we have to rebuild and do it. Thanks to everyone who have supported us. Thanks to the Caribbean fans, yes we disappointed you as a team, sorry. But life goes on. Thank you very much,

Now for South Africa to pip Australia on NRR, looks like they are expected to win by 57+ runs. But the exact figures will be known after South Africa finish their innings.

David Warner | Player of the Match: It felt satisfying to be there and hitting the winning runs. The key was to come out and play my natural game, target the bowlers up front. Obviously the slow bowlers bowling with the new ball there needs to be some adjustment, especially with Akeal Hosein who was swinging it and hard to get away with. For me it is about targeting the first two balls of the over and Mitch Marsh coming in and playing that knock was outstanding. They (the bowlers) have been outstanding. Last game was clinical and tonight to come out and bowl the way they did, we knew they would come hard at us and would keep coming even if they lost three wickets, to restrict them to a competitive total was a good job. DJ has been the benchmark for all the players coming out of the Caribbean, Chris as well for all opening batters around the world, he sets a high standard and I look up to him.

Okay, to the game now. West Indies posted a below-par total on this surface. Gayle and Lewis did get them off to a brisk start, but Hazlewood hit the brakes with two wickets in his second over bowling Test match lines. And this after his first over went for 20 runs. From 30/0 in 2.1 overs, they slipped to 35/3 in 3.3. Zampa took care of the dangerous Lewis and then Australia bowled smart areas and lines and never allowed West Indies to get going. Pollard anchored the innings, but it was only at the fag end that Russell could tonk back-to-back sixes to get this past 150. They would have been in the game if they got 25-30 runs more. Australia came out with a positive intent. Lost Finch early but Warner was severe and Mitch Marsh was his perfect partner, never taking the foot off the pedal. When West Indies realized they were out of this contest, they let their legends have their moments. Gayle was having a lot of fun chirping and chatting constantly. Bravo tried his best but couldn't finish his West Indies career with a wicket. But Pollard threw the ball to Gayle. Almost got Warner stumped but Pooran missed. He did sign off with the wicket of Mitch Marsh though.

Australia form a guard on honour for both DJ Bravo and Chris Gayle as "Champion, Champion" is being belted out in the background by the DJ at the ground. Both Bravo and Gayle sign the cameras and wave as they walk through. Gayle gives his floppy hat to someone in the crowd.

17:25 Local Time, 13:25 GMT, 18:55 IST: Big bear hugs from West Indies players. To Gayle, Bravo. Two legends of T20 cricket, who helped shape West Indies and world cricket too. Now the Aussies come out to congratulate the duo. Onto the more important things now. Australia have got their net run rate upto +1.216 by finishing early. South Africa fans would have wanted West Indies to win or at least take this close. Now their team has to win really big.

Gayle to Mitchell Marsh, out Caught by Holder!! In the airrrr and taken! Chris Gayle does sign off with a wicket. Look at him run like a kid. He runs and jumps on Mitch Marsh's back to say thank you. Friendly smile back from Marsh. Slot ball, floated full and outside off stump, Marsh thought he could finish with a boundary but he picked out mid-off to perfection and out come some loud screams from grown up men. They are properly enjoying this. Mitchell Marsh c Holder b Gayle 53(32) [4s-5 6s-2]
