That's one game done on a double-header Sunday. We have a low-key clash happening at the MCG. Not sure how many will tune in to that game. Just hop tabs to catch that one. As for us, we are done. But a reminder - do catch up on all the content being sent in by our folks in Australia. Some crackers in there. So on that note signing off for now on behalf of everyone. See you soon, till then take care and be well. Ta, ta!

Dasun Shanaka | Sri Lanka captain - Really happy with the way we've played the game, we set out to do some things and did well. We knew spin would play a major role, we knew they'd like pace, so we kept a lot of spin for the back-end. He has been consistent this year (on Kusal Mendis), has played according to the situation most of the times, that's the area he has improved. That consistency which Sri Lanka needed for a long time, that gives us a luxury. Death bowling is a key area, the start with the bat is very important and that's where we can take positives going ahead. Thankful to the supporters who came to back us today.

Andrew Balbirnie | Ireland captain - We knew that spin was a big threat, it wasn't turning big, but they bowled well and we're disappointed. Fell well short after batting first, never really in the game from there on. We knew that spin on a used wicket was a threat. so we backed ourselves to bat first. He is one of our top players (on Harry Tector), the in-form player in the middle-order, especially in the 50-over format. A lot of us wouldn't have played at that venue ( at the MCG), one of the biggest in the world, a great city and we'll look to enjoy the pressure. Had a great time over here and am thankful for all the support.

Kusal Mendis | Player of the Match - The bowlers did really well to limit them to a low score and I just played my game. I was just told to play the first 6 overs and then continue, the aim basically was to last 10 overs, but we were chasing a low score. We wanted to win within 17 overs, Charith (Asalanka) told me to not put myself under any pressure. He then thanks the crowd.

As expected Kusal Mendis is the Player of the Match.

17:57 Local Time, 06:57 GMT, 12:27 IST: What a commanding chase this is from Sri Lanka. Ireland just did not have any answers. Kusal Mendis made it look like a batting road out there. When the Irish batted, they struggled to get the ball away and Mendis came out and showed how it has to be done. A proper shellacking this for the Irish. Mendis and DDS set Sri Lanka on their way and after the latter fell, Asalanka came out and finished it off with Mendis in 15 overs. 30 balls left in the chase - and that's a big win in T20 terms. Lots of Sri Lankans in the crowd in Hobart and the Papare band is in full flow as their team delight them with a superb performance. Stay tuned for the presentation.

14.6

Simi Singh to Kusal Mendis, SIX, Sri Lanka and Kusal Mendis end this in style. Floaty offbreak on the stumps, Mendis swings the sweep miles over deep square leg. An early finish here in Hobart and that will fatten Sri Lanka's NRR and severely dent Ireland's

6

Simi Singh to Kusal Mendis, SIX, what a horrible drag-down this. Begging to be hit from outside off, Kusal Mendis squats on his back knee and smashes the pull over the wide long-on fence. Was the legbreak tried by Simi Singh and it went totally wrong

Simi Singh [1.0-0-4-0] is back into the attack
