This is Netherlands first win over South Africa in any format and with this win, Netherlands have now given themselves a great chance to qualify for the next World Cup - top four teams in both the Super 12 groups get a direct qualification. What a day for the Dutch and what joy the cricketing fraternity gets when the smaller teams do well in the big stage. That's a wrap of this game. Bangladesh have just won an important toss in their virtual QF against Pakistan. Let's hope it's as spicy as this one. See you on the other side shortly!
Scott Edwards | Netherlands captain: I am lost for words. Went so fast. This is going to take a bit of time to take it all in. We are used to these conditions in Netherlands. We were confident around the 160 mark to defend this. Another great experience, another big upset from the Netherlands. Absolute goal for us after losing the first two games that we are still playing for a spot in the next World Cup. Two results go our way.
Temba Bavuma | South Africa captain: Very disappointing. We really played well before this game. We knew it was a must-win game and again we faltered when it mattered. Hard one to swallow for the guys. We had the confidence and the belief to get to the knockouts. You can pick out a lot of things when you lose that way. Firstly myself with the toss, winning the toss and bowling first. Wasn't ideal to let them off to a start and let them score 158. With the bat we just got stuck similar to the Pakistan game. We lost wickets at crucial times. The wicket maybe got a bit hard, but they used the dimensions of the ground a lot better than we did. From all of us, just wasn't good enough.
Colin Ackermann | Player of the Match: It feels fantastic, really deserve this victory today, the boys have worked so hard for the last six months. That has been the theme of this World Cup. You got to earn the right to hit boundaries at the end. The surface was slower and we knew 160 was competitive, yeah it was a great performance. I need to speak to the skip about that actually (smiles) [on him not bowling much before this game in the tournament]. The South Africans had a few left-handers and the matchups worked well.
Interestingly, it's that famed South African bowling attack that has let them down twice in this comp. Against Pakistan and against Netherlands today. Apart from Nortje, none of the pacers looked like themselves and Netherlands smacked 45 runs off the last 4 overs - this includes a 4-run over from Nortje. Those two crucial sixes from Ackermann in the last over. You can find these mini gems when you dig deep. Kudos to Fred Klaassen for bouncing back despite a few freebies. Got QdK and Markram. And that captaincy move from Edwards to bring Klaassen on in the middle overs to get Markram. Glover's three wickets in two overs. Van der Merwe's catch of Miller possibly closed the deal - was certainly one of the best catches in the comp.
13:48 Local Time, 03:18 GMT, 08:48 IST: Oh Proteas. They look gutted, they look hurt. What a mess they have made. They were robbed off a point against Zimbabwe when rain came down, but they had this in hand to negate that and just crumbled under pressure. Somehow, somehow they find a way to succumb in ICC comps. Roelof van der Merwe took that stunning catch of David Miller to do it against his former team to get that big wicket. This is a massive day for Netherlands. They came so close in 2014 only to lose by 6 runs that day, today they have held their nerve to win by 13 runs. Mid-innings, Stephan Myburgh said his team had the bowlers to defend this total and the Dutch were outstanding with the ball. On a two-paced pitch they didn't bowl the easy lengths often and built pressure. South Africa tried to force the pace and perished.
