What a day it's been at the Adelaide Oval. Just never-ending drama, with Pakistan eventually making it through to the semis. Who saw this coming! Bangladesh's defeat also means that Netherlands will secure automatic qualification for the next T20 World Cup if India beat Zimbabwe. Brilliant day for the Dutch. Brilliant day for Pakistan. And now it's time to turn our attention to the MCG for the final Super 12 encounter. That's it from this one. It's a goodbye from Sagar Chawla on behalf of Mukesh, Raju Peethala and Kumar Abhisekh Das.

Azam: It's a team game. Cricket is a funny game. Appreciate all my team the way they played all matches. Pitch wasn't easy to bat on. Little bit two-paced. Me and Rizwan decided to go long, but unfortunately didn't work out. Haris showed aggression, good to see him play. Looking forward to the semifinals. All of us are excited to play.

Shakib: At the halfway stage we were 70/1. Wanted to get somewhere around 145-150 - would've been a reasonable total on that pitch. Knew it was going to be difficult for the new batters so wanted set batters to carry through to the end which didn't happen. In terms of results, this is the best performance we had in T20 World Cups. Could've done better. But having said that, with the new guys coming in, with the changes, this is the best we could expect. On my own performance - I could've done better. As long as I'm fit and performing, I'd love to play.

Shaheen Afridi, Player of the Match: I am improving day by day. Not easy to bowl at 140 after coming back from injury. We have played good cricket in the last few games. Team needed me to bowl well. We are looking forward to the final actually.

18:02 Local Time, 07:32 GMT, 13:02 IST: Despite heartbreaking losses to India and Zimbabwe, despite being 43/4 against South Africa, despite another slow start from the openers today .. despite everything, Pakistan are through to the semis. Talk about luck smiling on you. Well it definitely smiled on Pakistan today not only in terms of Netherlands' historic win, but also a few fifty-fifty calls in this game. Edges falling safely, catches going down, a few decisions going in their favour. But Bangladesh have only themselves to blame, having lost their way after a bright start. They scored just 57 in their last 10 overs, finishing with just 127. And then the keeper put down a straightforward chance third ball off Rizwan. It needed a disciplined effort in the field, but there were misfields, overthrows, no-balls, dropped catches. Can't do that with a paltry total to play with. And Mohammad Haris and Shan Masood made them pay. Their quickfire knocks turned the tide in Pakistan's favour as they eventually got over the line comfortably.

18.1

Ebadot Hossain to Masood, 2 runs, out of nowhere, Pakistan are through to the semis! Masood gets them home as he flicks this wide of fine leg, comes charging back for two and there's a big roar from the crowd. A big favour from Netherlands earlier in the day gave them the opportunity, and Pakistan have grabbed it. Will be India and Pakistan who progress from this group, Bangladesh are out

Mustafizur to Iftikhar Ahmed, out Caught by Shanto!! That's a really good catch running back from backward point. Iftikhar goes after a slower off-cutter, looking to loft it over mid-off. But it goes swirling in the air off a thick edge. Shanto runs back, keeps his eyes on it, reaches out with both hands and holds on. Iftikhar Ahmed c Shanto b Mustafizur 1(3)

Shakib to Mohammad Haris, out Caught by Nasum Ahmed!! Skips out but isn't quite to the pitch of it. He has to reach out well in front of the body, and slices it in the air to backward point. Good catch from Nasum as it was going over him and he had to jump with his arms outstretched. A little hiccup for Pakistan, nothing more than that you have to feel.
