This result opens up the Super Six table further as Ireland's win works in favour of most of the teams who are hoping to catch up. It's all set up for a very exciting next few days. That's it from us for now. Hope you enjoyed the coverage. It's a goodbye from Sagar Chawla and Abhinand Raghavendran.
Coetzer, Scotland captain: We felt that 270 kept us in the game. That was one of the best wickets in the tournament so far. Had to back our batting. There were a couple of crucial moments in the game which didn't go our way.
Porterfield, Ireland captain: Didn't have to say a lot, knew we had to turn up and take two points. Disappointed the other day with the bat against Zimbabwe, to bounce back today was pleasing. Need a couple of things to go our way, and if that's in place, we'll have to turn up come Friday.
Andrew Balbirnie, Player of the Match: We wanted to turn it around as quickly as possible. Quick turnaround has helped. Hasn't been the greatest tournament for me personally, happy to get some runs when it mattered the most. I didn't want to be ambitious at the start, just wanted to settle in and take it along. There's no real game plan. Just be compact and kick off in the back end. I have been batting in the middle order in the last few months. There's a lot cricket to be played before our next game against Afghanistan. We are going to relax, take a couple of days off and then get back.
16:45 Local Time, 14:45 GMT, 20:15 IST: Ireland's World Cup hopes are still alive, as they claim this must-win encounter by 25 runs. Bit of a scare there at the end with the last-wicket partnership, but they probably had it under control. Boyd Rankin finishes off with a four-fer, completing an incredible turnaround for himself and his team after Kyle Coetzer tore into him in his opening spell. Scotland were off to a strong start at 94/1, before Rankin had the last laugh and castled Coetzer and proceeded to derail Scotland's chase with three wickets in three overs. There were brief spurts of a fightback from the lower-order, but the damage which that middle-order collapse had inflicted proved irreversible.
Rankin to Wheal, out Caught by Niall O Brien!! Stunner from Niall O'Brien to snap Scotland's threat. He was moving towards the leg-side and was wrong-footed when the edge was found. But he leaps across and grabs it with his outstretched right hand. Wheal c Niall O Brien b Rankin 14(10) [4s-3]
Rankin to Wheal, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
Rankin to Wheal, wide, banged in short, loops over Wheal's head. Wide for height. Some pressure showing on Ireland
Rankin to Wheal, FOUR, forget about the single, he's nailed this through the covers after making some room. Rankin tried following him but couldn't cramp him up enough
Rankin to Wheal, no run, goes over off-stump through to the keeper. Good length ball, probably held its line a touch to beat Wheal's outside edge. He's swinging in vain here, would be better off taking a single
Rankin to Wheal, no run, back of a length delivery outside off, big swish from Wheal but no contact

Murtagh to Mark Watt, SIX, well well, can Scotland still do it? The way Watt is batting, it can't be ruled out totally. Another clean strike down the ground as Murtagh delivers it right in the slot
Murtagh to Wheal, 1 run, clears the front leg and drives to mid-off
Murtagh to Mark Watt, 1 run, chopped back onto his pad off the inside edge, the ball drops dead on the crease and they take the single. Wheal makes it home even as Murtagh sidefoots it onto the stumps
Murtagh to Mark Watt, SIX, goes all the way. Short ball which seemed to climb on Watt, but he stood tall and whacked it over square leg
Murtagh to Wheal, 1 run, back of a length delivery at the stumps, swiped away to long leg
Murtagh to Mark Watt, 1 run, short of length delivery on middle, pulled through mid-wicket
Tim Murtagh [8.0-3-35-2] is back into the attack

Rankin to Wheal, FOUR, desperate effort in the deep, with Simi Singh throwing himself across for the catch. But Wheal's pull just about evades him. Handy runs these when it comes to the NRR
Rankin to Wheal, no run, short of length delivery, bounces over Wheal's attempted pull
